Description Another artist trading card for the Smash Bros collection. xD This one is Pit. He's not as cool a fighter as Dark Pit, but he's the hero from "Kid Icarus: Uprising". I'll let you guess who might be next. xP

Great pose and expression; very cheeky, matches the modern tone of the franchise. I do think his ginormous gauntlets are a bit too Popeye-esque, but oh well. What really stands out about this piece is all the different textures you put into it. The hair in particular is gorgeously shaded.

And of course we all know who's going to be next. The one whose name starts with the letters P and A, and isn't Pac-man.

Thank you, Lewamon. ^^ Haha, Popeye was kinda a role-model of mine back in the day, so I know what you mean. xD
She/he is still going through preliminary sketches. A hard one to draw that is.

Cartoons, or newspaper comics? Oddly enough, I had a dream last night in which Thimble Theater was name-dropped. Not sure why, although I always preferred Wimpy and Geezil over Popeye himself.

The cartoons mostly. There's a few memorable episodes like Simbad the Sailor, the ghost house, and Aladdin.
What is Thimble Theatre? I don't remember Geezil much, but Wimpy was always great. His hamburgers always looked so juicy tempting to eat. xD

Thimble Theatre was the comic strip Popeye originated in. He was intended as a one-off character, but proved popular and eventually replaced most of the main characters (except Olive Oyl) with his own supporting cast. Decades after the original cartoonist died, the strip was renamed "Popeye."
