Are knee-length socks allowed? Can one be uneven from the other?

Hyoukii In reply to CloudSteampunkMaster [2016-01-23 19:11:16 +0000 UTC]

knee length is perfectly fine (im asuming if your oc is female though, please make sure the skirt is the proper length as thigh highs should not be visible)

we would prefer if the socks are the same length as it is a uniform, but you can justify why they might have two different lengths if you wish.

i hope this helps, if you have any more questions feel free to ask ^ ^

Im Gonna annoy you some more Does footwear have to be solid colored?, do ties have to be worn under vest inside of it?,

Hyoukii In reply to TGcannon [2015-12-14 03:00:42 +0000 UTC]

Its okay to ask questions, that way you're preventing any accidental flaws or nogo's that you may encounter later.

Foot wear can be anything and any colour as long as they aren't non sensical shoes for school. (ie, sandals or stilettos etc but if you are concerned you can always reference the student gallery and its apps)

ties don't need to be tucked it but the uniform shouldn't be extremely sloppy.

its not mandatory to be wearing it or holding it. The apps will vary from person to person so its up to you ^^

Hi there!

OCs are allowed to have piercings, just so long as there isn't an exaggerated or unrealistic amount.

Other than this there are many things that could be considered "allowed" or "prohibited". Is there something else besides piercings that you were unsure of? If you could specify it might be a little simpler to narrow it down ^^

Ok thanks !

Well its the amount of accessories that im not sure of, but other than that, I dont have anything specific u w u. And are pants allowed to be rolled? Not until my OC's knee nor near the knee even, just rolled above the foot. I hope that made sense to you somehow

Hello I have a rather more difficult question.
Could male charas be allowed to wear skirts too?
In the book they only wear robes and there was the group Fresh Air Refreshes Totally (F.A.R.T.)
that believed trousers would 'stem the magical flow at source'. My charas parents would be strong believers
of that and since he has to wear the uniform the skirt would be a nice compromise ö v ö
And I don’t think it would be weird for wizards since they only try to fit in when they’re amongst Muggles
and skirts would probably be considered normal for males too since everyone wear robes too
Sorry for the long read, humble me hopes it’s a valid question ´v `Thank you~

Hyoukii In reply to sobbing-jester [2015-08-11 20:13:51 +0000 UTC]

Unfortunately we will not be changing our guide. As it is a school institute and the group in question was considered to be a cult. If they wish to wear skirts on casual days is fine. whilst in school students are to follow the uniform.

Hi I've been over the uniform code a few times and I see that it says , "- Grey cardigans and Jumpers are u-neck only and must have house crest on the left-side."

Regardless, I often chance upon applications with grey v-neck jumpers. And I'm sorry it's such a trivial thing but I wanted to ask if v-necks are alright now? Like, is it actually allowed or not? Sorry for such a extraneous question huhuhu

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Hyoukii In reply to rin037 [2015-08-11 20:07:19 +0000 UTC]

If you look at the graphics given you will see that v-neck are available. They are darker in colour and require the stripe detailing. Please be careful when overlooking the graphics so as not to miss the details. ^^

rin037 In reply to Hyoukii [2015-08-12 11:45:01 +0000 UTC]

Sorry.   I wasn't specific with my question: What I meant was, are v-necks allowed for the grey sweaters and jumpers? Because I see it states that grey jumpers must be u-necked, but I see a lot of RPCs from your group that have grey v-necks. (unless I'm colorblind or something haha) Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my odd little questions hehe

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Hyoukii In reply to rin037 [2015-08-12 19:46:09 +0000 UTC]

I think its just the difference in colouring styles for each artist. Grey should be u neck only and charcoal should be v neck. The old apps were approved by the old mods so it might be a little different.

Sorry for the question, as it seems like you guys are pretty busy right now. But I have a question since my character's uniform was the reason I was rejected last time.

Are her socks and the pattern on her scarf okay? Socks in this kind of style are pretty common in England (they're seeming to come back in style)

Oh, just to run it by you *it will be out in another journal soon, but we will only be reviewing the apps privately between the mods once they are submitted. we won't be giving any checks.

You can however ask us as many questions as needed if you are unsure of anything! So please take care when writing up the written portion ^^

Powa-App [2015-07-24 07:02:06 +0000 UTC]

Just to make sure, only prefects wear a badge? Or even regular OCs that arent prefects wear a badge on their uniform ?

Thank you u v u

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Hyoukii In reply to Powa-App [2015-07-24 07:06:22 +0000 UTC]

Yes if a student is a prefect they have the "prefect" badge on their uniforms or robes. Quidditch captains will have the Captain pin respectively.

If by badge you mean the house crest, those must be visible on the robes or on the grey cardigans/jumpers.
