Here's an illustration for my school newspaper's next issue. I spent a lot more time on the actual drawing this time, leaving me substantially less time on the digital shading. I could have done a much better shading job. Oh, well. There used to be a coach in the background, but I didn't have time to shade him, so he went away.
I have to say, these newspaper illustrations are really stretching my boundaries. I had so much trouble with their postures and facial expressions. And hands! If you pay close attention, you can tell I avoided hands for the most part...But I guess it's all good practice.
