Description

The flower shrivels & dies, but out of the core slithers a sickly worm. It droops low over the water as bait, giving back to the stream after feeding from it.

This one didn’t take me nearly as long as the last, although I did had to write a few layers over the text so it wouldn’t blend in the dark grey plant. I loosely based the worm off a tapeworm, though I thought it didn’t look revolting enough - give it a few inverted(?) blisters & there you go.

In 2021 I started an Inktober theme that proved to be something so big that it wasn't possible in a single year. Well, at least for someone like me who has a lot of outside responsibilities. Because of this, I'll be working on this theme for the next few years specifically around every October until it's done.

Inspired by Shin Godzilla, "Devil's Symphony" is about a parasite that eventually becomes the destroyer of everything.

Whilst I’ll still be using fineliners, I’m also going to use pencil more often for some backgrounds.

This’ll be my toughest Inktober challenge yet, but hopefully it’ll teach me to do more art outside my comfort zone!
