Description
This is the back view of the Recruit helmet, there are tons of details on this thing, I still have a bit of work to do especially on the twist knob dial thingThis is my lifesized build of the Halo 4 Recruit helmet, I thought it was a cool looking helmet so I decided to try and build it, the helmet started life out as a pep file and now looks like the pic, im about 75% finihsed with the helmet as seen in the pic, I will be making a custom visor to fit the helmet by vacuforming it to fit the helmet, not sure what color scheme I will go with yet

Can I ask where you got the pepakura file to make this??? I have one, from the 405th's website, but it's really low on details...
Give some pointers and tips to a newbie? :3

LoL this helmet was made from the same file on the 405th it just don't look like it, I had to do a lot of modifications to the helmet during the body work process, my advise is find as many reference pictures of the helmet that you can then try sculpting the bondo to the shapes you need, it take time and practice, I have been doing this for years. also thee is a thread on the 405th made by Cereal killer that helps with explaining how to make details with bondo, you may want to check that out, take your time and don't rush it and you will get better results, most people throw on a layer of bondo and sand it down and that's about it, that's why you see so many pitted helmets out there also some people are starting to use foamies for soing some of the small raised detail parts I honestly prefer a low detail helmet for a base so I can add my own details its a lot easier to smooth out a helmet with nothing in your way and then add the details over the smooth base, hope this helps some
