When Koumori bought that Glaceon from a shady storefront, she was promised guaranteed victory in any competition she participated in. They were right, but what that store-runner failed to mention before shooing her away to sell a Mogwai to some chump, was the curse that came with guaranteed victory, the proverbial Monkey's Paw. As soon as her opponent's Mudsdale, his sixth Pokemon, fainted to an Ice Beam, Koumori started to feel strange. She felt cold, and her opponent seemed to be shrinking in front of her until she realized that he wasn't shrinking, she was growing! As the crowd panicked and evacuated from the arena, sheΒ was better able to get a good look at herself on the stadium monitors and realized that she was not only growing, but changing species, her bat wings becoming ethereal glows on her back, her fur lightening in shade, her ears lengthening, and icy bangs sprouting from her forehead until she was not just a Glaceon, but a goddess among Glaceon. She had to say, that trophy sure seems like a pretty stupid prize in comparison.
