Happy belated Easter, please keep that rabbit you bought for your kids safe, and for the love of fuck, please don't just abandon it or let it starve to death when the "novelty" wears off. Normally I try not to come off as preachy when I take the opportunity to express an opinion in the description, I really do, but that's a thing that happens every year, and it's messed up. If you get a pet for your kid, whether it be as a holiday gift or otherwise, it shouldn't be until after both you and your kid look into it, do the research, learn what having that pet entails, what responsibilities go into it, what expenses are gonna go into it, and be prepared to actually go through with those responsibilities and expenses. If neither you nor your kid want to be responsible for feeding, watering, cleaning up after, purchasing food, purchasing bedding, etc., then neither of you are ready to have a pet. Pets are responsibilities, not toys.
