Ahead of the DP remake announcement I did a group pic featuring Cord the ranger and his Pokemon team. Belated Pokemon day art, but better late than never!
Sparky the Jolteon
Dillon the Sandslash
Toro the Tauros
Randall the Infernape
Talon the Staraptor
Crash the Rampardos
For this piece I used some 3D model references - they were SUPER useful in figuring out how a Pokémon looks from a certain angle/perspective and getting a sense of scale and composition for this sort of group picture, hah.
Oh yeah, and I had this idea of Cord using Rampardos as a mount! Because who needs a Ponyta when a hard-headed rock dinosaur is way cooler, amirite?
