"This compassionate female ninja has a curvy build. Her large eyes are cream-colored. She has beige hair worn in a style that resembles a pennant blowing in the wind. Her outfits are severe and include fingerless gloves. She uses a sadistic form of martial arts that emphasizes turning an opponents' strength against them. Her preferred weapons are crushing weapons. She is skilled in astronomy. She can summon ghosts."My entry for *The-Z 's contest! You had to go to Seventh Sanctum's Ninja Generator and...generate a ninja to draw or create or whatever you wanted. ^^ My ninja's description is above.
Aurgh. I hated the lineart of this picture. I really had no motivation to finish it at all. Then I finished the flats and shaded the skin and decided that I could save the bad lineart with really nice shading! And I think I did! This is possibly the best skin I've ever done! And one of the best CGs I've ever done --not THE best, but definitely ONE of the best.
The hammer looks bad. But the ghosts look alright (props to ~gracifer for telling me a technique a while back that I tried to use--it didn't quite work out as I had hoped...i.e., like the thing she used the technique on, but it looks fine anyway) and her SKIN AND HAIR! ^^I'm finished.

i was skimming through your gallery, and this really stood out. this is awesome! like the guy above me said, she really does have a creepy sort of air to her. after i read the description the Generator pumped out for you, i think you pulled it off super well. her hair and the smoke really add a lot of movement to this (and i've always liked how you draw hair!), and her body is just so CURVY! and... this is going to sound terribly weird... but her feet are so elegant!

Though the contest is long past, I'm trying to make sure I comment on works that were entered when I can (along with the later contests).
I think this is a pretty effective piece - it has an unsettling, creepy air yet also has a sense of realism. The choice of colors is great too - it makes it stand out.

to be a critical bastard, i think the shoulders could be less symmetrical, and i dunno if you wanted the hammer resting on her shoulders, but it's really not.
everything else about this one drives me insane. can i get a print of this??

Wow, thanks! ^^ Um, apparently I didn't want it to be resting on her shoulders...because it's most definitely not. You're very much correct about that. I guess she's just inordinately strong and can hold it like that. *shrug*

Oh how cool. I had wanted to do a ninja for this contest, too, but ended up just getting about fifty descriptions of random ninjas from the generator and not doing anything with them.

Wow, kiddo, this turned out so nice! The coloring rocks my face into utter oblivion... This is probably the best skin CG I've seen you do. I love how you made the belt thingies all shimmery and starry! That's a cool detail. I'm also glad that technique came in handy! Overall, beautiful work, and good luxx0rs in the contest!
