Description
Doc Holliday, Tombstone (Val Kilmer-ish) style. Because it doesn't really look like Val Kilmer, but was drawn after seeing him play the character in Tombstone. How marvelous indeed. Nearly made me cry at the end of the movie. Not much to say here. I penciled, inked, and colored it entirely during school today, which proves I am an art machine when motivated. I think it turned out quite well. ^^ Three coats of black marker, though. GAH. It smells really bad. Other than that...yeah. I like it.
Done with Microns (.02 and .005), Prismacolor Markers (and two Trias), and touched up in Photoshop.
Doc Holliday was a real guy, but this version belongs to...the Tombstone people and Val Kilmer, I suppose.

I never liked Western movies, but I'm glad my dad forced me to watch Tombstone! It's one of my favorites now
Doc is freaking awsome and it's probably one of Val Kilmers best roles.
Anyways....this is amazing The cards, the bloody cloth, the cigg
I love it!

This captures him so well I think. (At least how Val played him)
You have the cigarette, the cards, even the handkercheif (sp??).
I love this drawing now, you did a wonderful job.
And I actually just got done watching Tombstone. So sad in the end. T.T

"Because it doesn't really look like Val Kilmer"

I love this. LOVE it. The pose and everything is so dramatic, and you really captured his sickly appearance. Love the bloody handkerchief and cards, they just complete it.
Isn't he a daisy? Alright, off to browse your gallery now. ^^

I didn't know you're into Westen stuff. Very cool though. And Tombstone is probably one of the movies Val Kilmer is actually GOOD in (because "Batman Forever" was horrible and I never like "Top Gun" all that much. Off the soapbox now, on to the critique.
Well, the clothing is great, the bloody handkerchief and pale skin reflects the tuberculosis very well, and he's got a smoke. Even without a background, there still is the windy and desolate feel that is Doc Holliday.
On a final note, I'm out of school now for good. I probably won't see you persoanally, but I'll keep tabs on your latest posts, along with pumping out critiques. Your work is great, just don't shy away from it....
Always, Darv

Well, I've never been into it before, but I really liked Tombstone. ^^
Thank you for your complements! I am glad those things are evident!
Cool, I'll look forward to hearing from you. I should e-mail you. I mean, I can. So I should. By the way, I think I live by you.

Yeah, I live two blocks down and across the street (according to Luke); 1923. I'm two houses from Locust street. But anyway, If I see you within the next coulple of days at AHS (if I go back over there), I'll sign your yearbook and stuff. Too bad you couldn't be at my grad party, but it probably would have been boring for you, as no other freshmen showed up anyway. (I havent been able to get ahold of Luke or anybody lately )
"Oh. Johnny, I apologize; I forgot you were there. You may go now."
Doc Holliday: What do you want Wyatt?
Wyatt Earp: Just to live a normal life.
Doc Holliday: There is no normal life, there's just life, ya live it.
Wyatt Earp: I don't know how.
Doc Holliday: Sure ya do, say goodbye to me, go grab that spirited actress and make her your own. Take that and don't look back. Live every second, live right on through the end. Live Wyatt, live for me. Wyatt, if you were ever truly my friend, or if ya ever had just the slightest of feelin' for me, leave now, leave now, please.
Wyatt Earp: Thanks for always being there, Doc.
BTW: if you haven't guessed already, I'm huge on Tombstone among other westerns.

Ah yes. He would know. Speaking of yearbook, I need to go commandeer mine from the business office...
Aww, that scene almost made me cry. He was my favorite character. Um. I guess he was a real guy, too, though. >_> Anyway.
