Great sketch, i love the black and white! I've been trying to imitate that lately, but can't get the shadowing right, haha

getting used to spotting blacks is hard for most artists, so you're not alone there.
i find doing real quick sketches like this, before you go to a final helps a lot. it gets you over thinking about it too much, and 9 times out of 10, you'll probably like it better too.
