never thought i'd do a sketch of this character.....oh, well.the DSC asks [link] and i humbly submit.the last of these long form sketches i plan to do. about 95 minutes, all digital.
again, this one, in theory had a good composition. but in reality, the background montage overpowers the Scarlet Spider. some of you may like that
....but it would make for a poor cover.well, at least i like the background montage.

Yeah, he was a perfect clone of Peter's DNA named Ben Reilly from earth 616. I believe he was a short lived character, but as I remember he was created by Jackal.

Nothing wrong with Scarlet Spider on his own, but the greatness of the background steals the eye as you say. Peter by himself back there might work, but MJ is just too distracting.

Scarlet Spider was the first comic book I ever opened. Didn't have a damn clue what was going on, since as a child, I was already watching the '90s Marvel Cartoons religiously.

Just magnificent, though it's two separate stories in one picture... and even then, the Scarlet Spider's image doesn't have a story, just him swinging along, which might be why you think the story image overpowers Ben.

That is a bad @$$ Scarlett Spider pose. Your skill with the digital media impresses me. Sometimes, there is something lost between traditional mediums and the digital, but near as I can see, you've made the transition well.
I like the MJ in the background too. The hair and fuzzy cuff & collar on her coat are great!

I'm not sure. Gwen was dead by the time this character debuted, so I just made an assumption. Either way AJ's put together an amazing sketch!

Reminds me of the covers for Spiderman Blue, a little more loaded, but for a DSC it's incredible. Again a really great drawing (because at that point, it's not a sketch anymore
