Phosphora has been confirmed, but she's an assist trophy. Ash, anime character, notΒ eligible, but the character he was based off, Red, might make a comeback that is if they don't use Hilda.

A few days ago on the official Smash bros website. Saw her picture, but it didn't say she was a new fighter, so the logical outcome was assist trophie.

I know but that was for a game which is different. Pokemon like Donphan, Blaziken and Kecleon made their first appearance in the anime but originated in/was intended for a game. It appeared in a manual for a game so it's technically from a video game despite it appearing years later in one.

It's not just a catchpraise, people actually called Hiryu "Strider".
Strider is his job title.
I was thinking of having a Strider Reboot bear the title "Hiryu" to ward off these incorrect assumptions.
