this is definitly creepy in a good way. some people can't create something like this, it comes out too forced.

ive had some really good suggestions with this, so i do think its probably going to change a wee bit.
but atleast you got to see it before all the editing
and this isnt really my first complete digital painting, i've done a lot of abrstract stuff which have been all digital,
this is just the first time ive done a character completely digital.

from north carolina they sent him to pennsylvania, so he should be home by monday morning. he said he wouldn't be available to them until tuesday night at midnight. so i took monday and tuesday off from work (vacation don't ya know!!!) so all is well. sorry i didn't get to talk to you on the phone yesterday. miss ya

*shudder* Very disturbing. I like the distorted anatomy- which is something I dont usually say, being the anatomy nazi that I am. Digital painting with a mouse is a pain in the ass (for me) but way cheaper then a tablet.
I would like to see some more solid edges around the outter edge of the face, or maybe the back end of the skull. I think it would really give it more of a presence - its super emotionally vibrating as it is and with some more crisp edges would stand out even more I think. Kudos!

i was thinking of putting this in the holiday 2004 category (since they haven't updated the holiday thing yet, so its still set for LAST year. 
but then i forgot all about that and just tossed it in with digital art.
man, this was a pain in the butt, though.
i did 3 different versions of it, this one turned out the least icky, i think.
and i seriously don't know how those digital artists do it. i mean, guh. i thought my head was going to explode.
and i didnt want to save it, and then come back and work on it another time because i was afraid i wouldn't be in the same mode of creation.
so i just sat through a straight 7 hours of this

i don't know how those digital types do it...but some could say the same for those of us who use more "traditional" materials!
i would say it's a very good first go at it...if you're interested in digital, keep it up!

Gah! Creepy is the best word that comes to mind. The eyes look all hollow, I really like how you shaded them. I think you should try painting this, like, properly. With a brush. And paint. And a canvas.

i don't think i'd have the patience to actually paint this
but i might try it.
knowing my luck, the painting would turn out a million times better than this,
and the terribley painstaking 7 hours working on this would just...be kinda a waste.
but hey! thats not the point.
the point is, this was a labor of love

Well, I think it's great, "real" paint or no. It's a very emotionally loaded image, although one might not see it at first. It's just strange, in the best way ever.

the only tip i can really give is to possibly try and blur some of the jagged edges? or fill them out? that's the only damned thing about digital paintings...gotta tell the computer how to make everything look...which reminds me...i really need to put gentoo on the laptop...and save all your folders on here... o.O but i'm rambling on your page, so i'll stop. pots. tops. spots.
