Description
...practice with my style, capturing real faces into cartoons, and photoshop line art and coloring. Honestly, this is the most enamored I've been with my digital art in a long time. Photoshop is still very difficult to get the hang of on terms of line art, but it ended up creating this natural, sketchy, almost illustration-like quality I used to only dream of capturing in my pictures. Tutorials have also helped IMMENSELY.Forgive me if this doesn't look as...bright...as my other ID's. Well that can mostly be explained by, I suppose, my striving for accuracy. The blonde hair is gone because, I haven't gotten to dye my hair lately like I had hoped, leaving my natural hair color very mousy and bland, probably more bland than it is in this picture. It was very fun toying with the pressure to give it the fading effect though. I added in my dark circles because I haven't been using make up as much, and it's a pain for me to apply. (make up seems to be difficult for me even though I'm an artist. I guess your own face is a completely different kind of medium to work with...) Honestly, I don't have as much disdain for them as I used to. I'm not smiling in this picture because, as much as I like to save face online, I'm not really happy enough for me to portray myself that way. But I'm not sad in this picture either. Just neutral. Just thoughtful.(and a little tired because I need to go to bed earlier lol) Personally I don't think people absolutely have to smile for every portrait, and, depending on the scenery where they're being photographed in, I think a more thoughtful look would be more fitting. Despite me defying summer and refusing to draw myself in a tank top, I did want to add in the bun that I've wearing lately, to practice with stray, whispy hair.
Maybe I'll make something happier next time, and hopefully, now that I'm improving on the tablet, something more large scale as well.

Aww, thank you! That really means a lot!
This might sound cliche, but practice and persistence helps improve any kind of skill. The persistence for perfection never hurt either. ^^

This is a really cool portait! Love how you did the expression and stray hairs, the expression immediately caught my eye.
(I hope this doesn't sound intrusive but I kind of like the darker hair color, it's kind of honey colored)
(This is also just a tiny bit of crit but since the pupils are looking so high up, it looks a a little bit like you're rolling your eyes)
Either way this is a nice portait; the colors go together nicely

Aw, thank you! I hoped the expression would be well received, because I usually look alert at the most.
No, that's fine! I'm not even sure that color is close enough to my real natural color. It's so mousy and unnoticed that it's a bit difficult to pinpoint.
Ah, I see. I might work on that next time(though I do roll my eyes a lot XD).
Thank you! I'm pretty fond of purples, indigo's and periwinkles. ^^

This is actually pretty good. I can see the imperfect lines, but I guess that goes to show the effort you put through this.

Yeah, it took me a while. I'm not even sure I can make something this smooth again. At least for a while. XD
