Description
It was Rachel Riley's 10th year doing Countdown and Catsdown, and she still loved it, but she was getting bored and easily distracted during the tapings. The maths weren't nearly challenging enough, and the jokes were getting stale. One day before taping she was sitting in her dressing room when a knock on the door came. Little did she know that the person on the other side was going to change her life (and her mind) forever.
(Ideally, this is an F-F "Catsdown" RP with one of the other frequent guests: Katherine Ryan, Aisling Bea, Sara Pascoe, etc.; or Suzie Dent, but I'm open to other ideas if you have them. PLEASE know who Rachel Riley is and know what Countdown is for this RP...)
My RP rules:
1) F/F only. Sorry, I'm a lesbian, so no men in my stories
2) Please have an actual hypnosis story with some semblance of a plot. If you just come in with "look in to my eyes and take off your clothes", you're not getting responded to.
3) I'm happy to be Dom or Sub, so please let me know if you're looking to be Rachel, the guest on the show, Suzie, or even someone else if you have ideas, and if you are the other person, a little description of who you are would be good
4) any other questions or comments? I'm happy to respond to those as well.

Having just finished having her make-up thoroughly applied, dressing herself up for tonight's show, Rachel was not expecting to hear a knock on her door so soon before taping was to begin, though being as polite as she was, she answered it nonetheless, shocked by not irritated to see the face of one of the night's guests, Aisling Bea, standing before her.
'Hey, Aisling, what's up, you wanna talk about something?' Rachel allowed the other woman inside, trusting that it would be quick since they both had a show to shoot, and remaining as polite as possible.

(You didn't answer my question! lol)
*Aisling looks at the clock. She knows she'll only have about half an hour until the doors are opened and the audience files in for the taping, so she'll have to move quickly. Luckily, she had paid off the security staff to ensure no one comes into the set until Aisling said it was alright to do so. That would buy her the time she needed for her plan.*
"Listen" *Aisling begins in her cheerful Irish brogue.* "I'm absolute shite at the maths. I think it's the pressure of the clock and the music and the lights. Would you mind coming onto set with me and just running through a few practice sets with me? You can give me some tips on how to get better at them so I look like less of an arse on national telly when the numbers rounds come along. I think it would really help me out."
*Aisling looks at Rachel, hopefully, expectantly. She knows Rachel loves to teach people when it comes to maths, so she's playing on Rachel's desire to do that as a way to get her onto the set.*

Rachel had participated in a countless number of Countdown episodes, and she had seen some people who were truly appalling at maths, and whilst Aisling certainly wasn't the best player she'd ever seen, she was far from the worst either. Despite this, Rachel took petty on her, offering a reassuring glance. 'You're not that bad, I've definitely seen worse.' She answered the query. 'But I can definitely give you a few pointers if you think it's gonna help.' She did love maths, and this not only gave her the opportunity to teach you and thing or two, but to show off a few of her own skills as well.
(Oh, sorry about that, yeah, I think she'll just be wearing what's in the picture.)

"Great. Thank you so much, Rachel!" *Aisling says excitedly, walking quickly over to Rachel's dressing room door and opening it for Rachel. Rachel thinks this is just because Aisling is excited to get better at maths, but it's really so she can maximize her time with Rachel before the show starts. The more commands she'll be able to imprint on Rachel before taping starts, the more the control over Rachel's mind Aisling will have by the time she's ready for the fun.
The two women walk to the set and Rachel assumes her usual position at the numbers board. Aisling has her draw 6 numbers and uses her phone to time 30 seconds. She doesn't even come close to the target. They try again and Aisling is still 29 away from the target. Aisling looks up at Rachel, her face a mask of frustration.*
"And this isn't even with the crowds or the clock or the music. This is so infuriating." *Aisling proclaims, looking to Rachel for any helpful tips or tricks she can use.*

Drawing numbers onto the board as requested, Rachel felt a hint of sympathy rush through her every time her co-star failed at some of the most simple equations on the board, not able to answer the questions in anywhere near the allotted time, though Rachel herself had enough cool to remain patient throughout the whole affair, offering a reassuring aura, and an uncritical gaze. 'Maybe you're just looking at it the wrong way?' Rachel drew a few more numbers onto the board, selecting the random target and then stepped back a little from her regular podium in order to get a better view of what she was doing, turning to face Aisling once she had worked the whole thing out.
'You just need to exhaust all of the possibilities. Cast a wider net, and sometimes once you've started working, you can use the steam you've built up to reach your goal.' She was clearly very passionate about math.

*Aisling winds up getting within 3 on this set, which is good enough for points on the show, so it's good enough for Aisling. Her level of excitement is probably way too high for almost getting a simple maths problem, but the fact that she didn't humiliate herself this time is a nice change of pace.*
"Now I have to try it with the clock and the music. Otherwise we won't know if I can do this under pressure." *Aisling says, starting to put the wheels of her plan into motion. She checks her phone and sees she has 15 minutes to execute phase 1 before the studio is full of people again.*
"I'm going to go over to Jimmy's spot and hit the button. Can you come stand over here in the middle? I can't see the numbers if you're standing in your usual spot." *Aisling points to the raised circular platform directly in front of the contestants' desk for Rachel to stand, wanting her to have the best view possible once her mind begins to be under assault from Aisling's plans.*

Always pleased to help someone discover a better understanding of maths, Rachel let out a laugh at the comedian's seemingly great excitement at discovering at least some latent talent in the field, clapping a little, though she too was aware of the time, and how little they had left before the audience would start to shuffle into the room. She was about to suggest that the two of you start to prepare a little more off stage, when Aisling made a remark about wanting to try things under pressure, and Rachel knew that a few more moments wouldn't hurt, the clock was after all only thirty seconds.
Your request for her to move a little seemed easy enough, and so Rachel complied, moving to the centre platform in front of the contestants, right in front of the large clock. 'Is this good, Aisling?' She asked. 'Can you see now?'

*As Rachel walks back over, Aisling walks over to the hosts desk and presses the button to start the Countdown clock. The big machine springs to life and appears normal for the first 30 seconds, but as the clock hits 30, instead of stopping, the hand keeps going. The lights begin flashing oddly and the hand starts to spin faster and faster, the music taking on an eerie, haunting, yet oddly calming tone.
Aisling, who of course was fully aware this would happen, pays no mind to any of the strange things going on, seemingly working away on her 6 numbers trying to get the sum on the board, while secretly looking up from time to time to see if/how Rachel is reacting to the 'malfunctioning' clock and lights/sound system.*

Positioning herself right in front of the clock itself, the full blare of it's music hitting her directly, Rachel almost jumped out of her body when the music continued after it's normal thirty second end, turning away from where she had been watching Aisling to stare at the clock for a few seconds. 'Hey! I think something's wrong with it.' She looked around for a technician, but she knew that the two of you were alone in the room, so instead she moved closer to the clock herself, thinking that it might have merely set off again by mistake, and that it was a simple malfunction, though that didn't seem to be the case as the clock was going faster and faster by the second, Rachel now standing closer to it than ever before, her eyes following the hands as they go quicker and quicker.
'It's not supposed to do this.' She said almost to herself, though she didn't look back at Aisling, her gaze almost entirely focused upon the clock now.

"Yeah, that's odd. I don't know how to stop it either." *Aisling calls out, as the volume of the music seems to rise, the lights flash even more vividly, and the hands on the clock spin faster and faster. Rachel makes a big show of faking like she pressing the button under Jimmy's desk, when she's not actually doing it, but slapping the desk right next to the console.
Aisling can't believe her luck when Rachel decides to mover even closer to the clock. She had expected to have to be much more crafty in her efforts to convince Rachel to look at the clock. Aisling watches Rachel's eyes following the clock hands and realizes this plan may actually work even better than she had sketched it out in her mind. Aisling says nothing as Rachel continues to stare at the clock, the flashing lights and the spinning hands hitting her square in the face as the music plays, Rachel's mind already unknowingly taking the full force of the device.*

'Yeah, it's so weird. I've never seen it do this before...' Her words almost trailed off into the air, as she continued to follow the movements of the clock's hands, almost compelled to just keep on staring to keep her yes focused, barely paying attention to whatever Aisling was doing by the desk. She had been doing this show for a long time, and never had she seen the clock do anything like this before, it was so strange, and oddly fascinating in a way. The malfunction was almost like a car crash, she knew she probably ought to look a way, she even probably should have kept her distance in case the wiring had somehow gone awry and the clock was about to explore, to let out an electric shock, but she just couldn't draw her eyes away from the disaster.

Just in case it does, Aisling continues making a big show to claiming she's trying to stop the clock when in reality she's doing nothing of the sort.*
"I'm sorry Rachel, I'm trying. It doesn't seem to want to stop going. It is very weird, I'm not sure what they're trying to do here." *The lights continue to flash and the clock hand keeps going faster and faster in its circular pattern.*

No matter how fast the clock goes around and around, Rachel's eyes continue to follow it, for reasons which not even she herself was sure. She opened her mouth to say something in reply to Aislings comments, but no words ended up coming out, Rachel finding it a little too hard to formulate a proper sentence or even thing about how to make an intelligible reply, instead just sort of standing there, gawking at the massive clock in front of her, listening to the music, taking everything in without really thinking about it.

Of course she wanted it off, didn't she? It was loud and distracting and it made it so hard for her to focus on anything else, to even think about anything else. But it was so pretty. The sound was so nice and reassuring. Standing here and listening to it was almost like having all of her worries just melt away, her entire being focused on just a single point, a single thing. 'I... Uh... Maybe it'd be okay to just keep it on. Just for a little while. Just for now.'

Aisling's descriptions of the clock, and its spinning and whirring mechanisms only helped Rachel to focus further and further, her eyes completely focused on what was going on in front of her, though they seemed a little distant as well. Watching without watching. Seeing without looking. Like they weren't entirely present. Like she wasn't all there.
'So pretty.' She mouthed to words, repeating them back to you, a little lost, a little confused, not reacting as you approach her further, moving up behind her as her body starts to go a little limp, her muscles relaxing.

*Aisling beams as Rachel gets more and more lost in the clock. The hardest part, Aisling thought, would be getting Rachel to stare see the clock long enough. But that hadn't turned out to be an issue at all. Aisling knows she doesn't have much time, so her deepening of the increasingly enchanted blonde mathematician must proceed at this point. Aisling knows that she's not strong enough to lift a limp and sleeping Rachel off of the studio floor, especially under a time crunch. Aisling adjusts tactics: seeing as the clock was taking care of Rachel's mind, Aisling turned her focus to Rachel's body.*
"Yes Rachel. So pretty. So so pretty. Just feeling yourself getting lost in how pretty it is. But as you sink deeper into the pretty clock, feel your legs getting stronger and stronger. The rest of your body is sinking down: your arms, your shoulders, you eyelids, your mind. But your legs are firm and solid. This helps the rest of you to relax more and more, knowing that your legs are locked and rigid and will keep you upright, free to go even deeper into the beauty you see before you, Rachel."

Still completely absorbed in the ticking and spinning of the clock, Rachel felt her legs brace by themselves, spreading slightly until they were shoulder width apart, allowing them to comfortably hold up the rest of her body without much resistance, holding up her weight so that Rachel remained standing even as the strength drained from the rest of her body, her head lulling over a little, her jaw slacked, her arms loose by her side, though she managed to remain standing despite all of that, holding herself up through force of will and the commands that you had given her.

You know they'll support you now, no matter how long you stare at the pretty lights, no matter how long you hear the soothing music, no matter how long you listen to my calming voice. Feel the rest of you sinking deeper and deeper into the lights,, feeling yourself continuing to get more and more relaxed the longer you stare, knowing that your legs will support you. Your legs and my voice will keep you safe, Rachel."
*Aisling can't help but marvel as Rachel's legs, her long silky sexy perfectly toned legs firmed up at Aisling's command. Even in those 4 inch black heels with the ankle straps and stiletto points, Aisling knew Rachel's legs would hold her. Partly because Rachel's legs were incredible and partly because it was becoming clear that Rachel was an excellent subject to follow hypnotic triggers and commands. Maybe because her job was just going math on command. Whatever the reason, it was clear that she wouldn't be putting up much of a fight while Aisling deepened her for the next few minutes. Aisling takes a moment to watch as Rachel's upper half continues to relax and sink further still, based both on her implicit trust of Aisling's voice and her own strength in her legs and her core.*

Aisling's voice was the only thing able to cut through Rachel's pure and unadulterated concentration upon the lights before her, the ticking clock, the relaxing movement, her upper body slumping forward, though her legs were able to catch her and keep her in a mostly upright position, making sure she remained standing as she looked and she listened. Aisling's voice was all she could hear now, so naturally she now associated that voice with the lights, and the lights were so pretty and made her feel so good, so naturally the voice must have been special too, make her feel safe, make her go deeper and deeper into the lights.

"The lights are taking you down, Rachel. Deeper and deeper down. Every muscle in your body, apart from your legs, is so relaxed, so limp now. Even your eyelids can't stay open anymore. You can see the clock and the beautiful lights and patterns it makes in your mind, so you know that even if you let your eyes close, you'll still see the lights and hear the music and my voice. You know that everything will be fine as long as you can hear my voice and see the pretty lights.
And because you know everything will be ok, you know it's ok to just let your eyes close. My voice will still be here. The music will still be here. The lights and the clock will still be here. They'll still be taking you deeper and deeper, Rachel. Deeper and deeper. So just let your eyelids relax. Just let them slowly close and find yourself drifting away into a deep and relaxed sleep."
*Aisling smiles as Rachel's body continues to do exactly what Aisling wants. Rachel practically folds in half as Aisling takes her under. Finally, Rachel's eyes shut and Aisling turns off the tampered clock, certain that Rachel will continue to see and hear everything inside of her mind, just as Aisling had instructed her. She looks back at the enchanted blonde and just takes a moment to wonder at what's before her: Rachel is standing up, but completely bent at the waist. Her arms are hanging down so limply her fingers are touching the floor, her golden hair has fallen all over her face, obscuring most of Rachel's face from view. If that skirt wasn't so tight, it would have slid all the way up in this position, but instead it strained to maintain its structural integrity, meaning the outline of Rachel's perfect perky backside was clearly visible, as if she was wearing yoga pants. Aisling takes a moment to let Rachel continue to mentally sink deeper, ensuring nothing could wake her at this point. She was so close and only had a few minutes. She had to be sure Rachel was gone before she began to program her.*

Aisling's words washed over Rachel like a cool breeze, guiding her through this new serene state and keeping her completely at peace as she breathed lightly, just listening and watching, listening and watching, listening and watching until she didn't even need to watch anymore. She could feel her eyes blink. Then they blinked again, but for longer this time, then again once more, though this time they remained shut, Rachel practically keeled over with her face still towards the clock, showing off her behind with no regard as she remained half asleep, oblivious to everything but those sweet Irish tones.

*Normally, Aisling would take Rachel deeper, much much deeper, before she began giving instructions, but time was of the essence here. There were only a few moments before the doors would open and the studio would fill and Aisling's moment would be gone. She runs through her mental checklist of things she normally does, thinking about what is absolutely mandatory to ensure Rachel is compliant at a later moment in time.*
"Rachel, when I snap my fingers, you will wake up, with no memory of the Clock acting strangely. All you will remember is that you came out here to help Aisling with her maths before the taping began. Nothing strange happened, and everything was perfectly normal. Whenever you hear me, and ONLY me, say the words 'Rachel Rest', you will drop back into this deep trance, exactly as you are now, with your legs strong and sturdy, and the rest of your body and mind falling instantly asleep."
*Aisling thinks for a moment, and decides to throw in one little thing for her own amusement, and to ensure that Rachel is actually under her control.* "Rachel, when Jimmy says the phrase 'And with the numbers, it's Rachel Riley', you will instantly reply without hesitation 'and I'm a bad girl who needs to be punished.' You will realize you said it, though you won't know why you did, and you'll try to play it off as a joke. Do you understand, Rachel?"

As Aisling clicked her fingers, Rachel awoke from that dreamlike state, unsure of what had happened to her over the last few minutes, though her brain was able to fill in the blanks with the idea that she had merely been helping a friend with her math, and that nothing had happened that was out of the ordinary. She stood up tall, blinking a few times to get the sleep out of her eyes and looking around. She had clearly lost track of time, as the cast and crew were now starting to trail into the room, so Rachel moved away from where she was standing by the clock and back towards her normal position by the numbers, shooting Aisling a friendly look as if hoping that her help had been enough to improve her friend's confidence in regards to working out the equations that the show demanded of her.

Soon, the studio is filled, and the cast and crew are all assembled. The familiar music kicks in and then the voiceover introduces all the guests. Sean, Jon, Aisling, Sarah Millican, David O'Doherty in Dictionary Corner, Suzie, and Rachel. Jimmy tells his usual jokes, roasts all the guests, and moves his way to Susie and David. After them, he unknowingly says the trigger phrase: "And with the numbers, it's Rachel Riley!"
Aisling forgot the catcalls and cheers of dozens of horny, pathetic men would drown out Rachel's post-hypnotic response to Jimmy's familiar phrase planted in her mind by Aisling, but she looks carefully to see if Rachel still says the words, which Aisling would be able to see her mouth move and her reaction to what comes out of her mouth to know that Aisling's suggestion had taken root and that Rachel was actually hers to control.*

Getting back into the swing of things as the music starts playing and the show goes on, Rachel smiles as the familiar opening of the show begins, an expert at this point, and used to the way that things were going. She stood as normal in her place beside the board, smiling at the guests and the audience as everyone was introduced, waiting for Jimmy to go through the usual routine of cracking a few jokes as the guests laughed and made back and forth banter, all until it was her time to be welcomes.
'And with the numbers, it's Rachel Riley.' She heard that familiar intro, smiling and waving, but feeling a little different this time, almost like she was compelled to do something extra, and instead of the usual clapping that might follow her own entrance, she instead felt her mouth moving without permission.
'And I'm a bad girl who needs to be punished.' It was her voice, and she felt her mouth move, but those weren't her words, and she felt herself a little shocked as she spoke them, instinctively covering her mouth and hoping that no none had heard, though after her initial reaction, she did her best to play it cool as if everything was totally intentional.

The show taping progresses as normal, with Jon winning and everyone else struggling to some extent, much to the audience's delight. Afterwards, everyone goes back to their dressing rooms to prepare to head home. Aisling goes straight to Rachel's, wanting to stop her from removing her outfit or her makeup just yet. She has plans for Rachel this evening.

Even after that mishap that had proved to be a surprise to everyone, Rachel was able to save face and recover, attempting to conceal her words behind jokes, though even she wasn't entirely sure why she had said them, just laughing along with the audience and ignoring the odd looks she was getting from members of the cast. It seemed that everything would be okay though, because the awkward atmosphere did not linger, and the show went on much as it always did, Rachel as always having a good time and throwing in a few jokes of her own that went down much better than the first one seemed to.
Afterwards, a little tired, Rachel returned to her dressing room, sitting in silence for a moment to regather herself before she would start getting ready to leave, though she wasn't given much a chance to do anything.
Rachel was vaguely aware of Aisling pushing herself into the dressing room and saying some words, though anything that came after that was a blur, as she felt herself melt down in her chair, eyes closed, head lulling down, completely docile in a second.

It took a little time for Rachel's mind to rewire so drastically, pushing backwards for a time all recent memories, and shifting around her life until she was back at school, warping her worldview completely as she sat face down, absorbing your words as her new truth. She was a school girl. This was her school. Aisling was her headmistress. Even the oddity of the situation was not enough to wake her from this trance, and she merely accepted everything you said, her subconscious mind writing her new truth. 'Yes, I understand.' She droned out, though the words were quiet; a barely inaudible mumble.

"What you are wearing is and always has been the school uniform, so you'll think nothing of your outfit at any point."
*Aisling adds, not wanting Rachel's mind to wake up and question why she's wearing what she's wearing to school. She wanted Rachel to believe everything was normal. That she would just walk all over Mistress Aisling like she's done every other teacher and administrator and staff member in this school, because SHE was really the one in charge. The main girl on campus. The HBIC.*
"The more I defy and mock you, the angrier you will get that Mistress Aisling doesn't seem to understand how the power dynamic in this school really works. However, any time I say the phrase 'naughty girl' you will instantly say the phrase you said earlier when Jimmy said your name during the introductions. Further, you will begin to believe it the more you repeat it and eventually, you'll want nothing more than for Mistress Aisling to teach you how to be a good girl. Do you understand, Rachel?"

'I understand.' Rachel mumbled again, still taking in the instructions Aisling was giving her, morphing her mindset back into that of a disobedient little school girl, though that trigger remained. Defiant until she wasn't.

*Aisling puts her hair up in a bun and changes into a stereotypical pair of horn-rimmed glasses, using Rachel's mirror, as Rachel continues to sit, entranced, head down in her chair. After a few minutes of making sure everything is in place, Aisling walks over to the door to Rachel's dressing room. After making sure they're the only two people in the building, Aisling snaps her fingers before shutting Rachel's dressing room door (which Rachel will believe is her dorm room), and scampering down the hall quickly to the studio, taking a seat in Susie's chair, thinking that looks the more authoritative from where Rachel will be entering the "office".*

Rachel awoke from her temporary slumber as a much different woman, younger in mind if not in body and the Queen of a school to which which she no longer attended, though in her mind she had never left. It took her eyes a few moments to adjust to the new surroundings, her mind convincing her that this was simply her dorm room, and internally justifying the positioning of everything, and the entire layout of the place before her, her clothes now nothing but the school uniform that she always wore.
Rachel stood up, thinking that she must have dosed off a little before checking the time. shit. She knew that the headmistress had wanted to meet her in her office for some dumb talk about her 'attitude' or whatever that meant, and at this rate she was going to be late. Not that it mattered much, she supposed, it wasn't like anyone at this school could touch her, not even the staff, so she could make her own time.
It was that mentality that led Rachel to taking her time coming down to the studio that she believed that your office, moving slowly as she approached, and arriving almost fifteen minutes after you had left her dressing room, barely even looking at you even when she did end up showing her face, greeting you with a simply groan, before waiting for you to start whatever boring little speech you were going to give her.

"Ahh, Ms. Riley." *Aisling says, trying to make her voice as commanding and controlling as possible. "Please come in. You're late."
*Aisling gestures to the raised platform in the center of the stage where Rachel had fallen victim to the clock, which Rachel's mind should now recognize as just a spot in front of Aisling's desk. There are no chairs for Rachel to sit in, which will seem like a power play by Aisling, making everyone who comes to see her stand, something Aisling knows bratty 18-year old Rachel will hate. It also gives Aisling more time to stare at Rachel's legs in that dress and those heels.*
"I've gotten reports from...well...all of your teachers about your attitude, Ms. Riley. It seems you don't fancy your class work, or even really attending classes. Don't you think it's a good idea for your future that you develop skills at something? Like maths? There's got to be some kind of career for a woman in maths, wouldn't you think?"

Noticing the lack of seating, Rachel is forced to stand in front of you, thinking nothing of the giant clock that her conscious mind now could not see, as she stood in almost spotlight position, noticing the way you looked her over with a frown. Such a creep.
'My teachers don't know anything about me.' Rachel half whined, half grumbled as you started accusing her of things, and though she had no memories of the infractions she had supposedly commit, in her mind they were as real as anything else. 'And maybe I'd attend more classes if they weren't so boring.' An almost self aggrandising smirk. 'You and your lot and keep your books and your math or whatever you think is fun. I'm happy to run my life exactly how I want it, and what I don't want it a boring career with numbers or whatever.'

"If I may ask, how exactly are you going to run your life once you graduate? What's your plan? Because with grades like these, I don't think you'll be getting into any University. At least not in this country. Maybe over in America where they don't seem to have standards over whom they admit as students, but I highly doubt it anywhere in the UK."
*Aisling continues to probe Rachel's mind, forcing it deeper into itself as she seeks to make certain Rachel fully believes herself to be in her old school before she begins the power play that will shift her from petulant brat to purring little kitten desperate to please.*

'I don't need grades or anything, and I don't want to go to some dumb university, get off my back, okay?' Rachel retorted as you started to question her future plans, honsestly, you were far too pushy about it, she didn't need to think about the future yet, or really at all, she was sure that with looks like these, she would be able to get some modelling job or something to pay the bills, and then she'd be making twice what you got anyway.

*Aisling sighs, trying her best to sound like an exasperated administrator.*
"Rachel, you had such promise when we accepted you to this school. You were on the football team, the maths tutoring group, you were so polite and respectful. What happened to you? Is there a boy or something? What changed to turn you from a model student into such a naughty girl?"

'And I'm a bad girl that needs to be punished.' Rachel said the words almost instinctively, as you continued to chastise her, not thinking as they left her lips, though as soon as those words were said, she regretted them, bringing her hands up to her mouth, and looking at you in horror. Why had she said that? It was strange, but she had felt almost compelled to do so, compelled to say those words, without being able to stop herself. She didn't mean it, she knew that she didn't mean it, but she had said them nonetheless. 'Uh... I... Just get off my back, okay teach? Things are hard enough without you yelling at me.'

*Aisling raises an eyebrow at Rachel's 'outburst', but decides not to comment on it this time, letting Rachel stew on what she had just done without making it obvious would mess with Rachel all the more.*
First of all, it's Headmistress Aisling or Headmistress Bea. You know that, and you will afford me the respect to address me as such, Ms. Riley. Second of all, no one is yelling, Ms. Riley. I'm simply trying to ascertain the source of your issues with authority figures in this school in the last few months. Is there anything you'd like to talk to me about? I can promise you I'll keep whatever we say here in complete confidence."

'Alright, Headmistress Bea.' Whilst she complied with your request in such a sarcastic manner that it could be considered disrespectful, she still did comply by referring to you in your preferred manner, that showed that even now a little bit of progress was still being made, even if it did not seem so important at the moment.
'School is just so boring.' She went on to whine. 'And my teachers are just the worst, like you, telling me off all the time, calling me out, maybe it'd be easier to get on with things if I didn't have to go to meetings like this every few weeks to talk about it.'

"We tried leaving you alone for months, but your attitude and your grades just kept declining, Ms. Riley. That's when we decided to intervene and tried to set you up with your favorite teachers for some meetings. But you skipped those. So then we tried various members of the administration, and you blew those off too. I presume you're only here because this meeting 'invitation' came with the threat of expulsion if you failed to appear.
Ms. Riley, we've bent over backwards to try and accommodate you. But you refuse to work with us on anything. So I'm here to ask you the deciding question of your time here at Southend: are you going to work with us to fix the mess you're making, or are you just going to continue to be a naughty girl?"

'And I'm a bad girl that needs to be punished.' Once again Rachel couldn't stop herself from saying those words, leaving her tongue before she could even really think about what she was saying, and then hanging out there in the open for you to hear. She wanted to play it cool, and pretend that it was nothing, but she knew that even as a joke it was such an odd thing to say, so there was little way you wouldn't pick up on it.
'I guess... I guess I could at least try to come to my classes more, get better grades and stuff.' Maybe it was the embarrassment of her previous statement, maybe it was just to draw attention away from it, but Rachel thought that the only solution to her predicament was to be a little less belligerent with you, maybe test the waters there.

*Aisling purses her lips, bringing her hands together and moving them up in front of her face, as if considering Rachel's offer as the beginning of a negotiation session between the two of them. Aisling can feel the balance of power in the room beginning to shift as Rachel's perception of supreme confidence begins to wain, both from embarrassment at what she continues to repeat for reasons unknown and because of the effects of the post-hypnotic suggestion on Rachel's mind, chipping away at her bratty persona.*
"Ms. Riley, I'm afraid that's simply not good enough. That is what we expect our students to do regardless of their issues with the staff. For you to remain here, we would need something more than simply the bare minimum. We would require a show of good faith to let us know you were serious about changing. We've had enough problem students that we've shown the door and we'll have no problem getting rid of another naughty girl if need be."

'And I'm a bad girl that needs to be punished.' This was getting ridiculous now, why did she keep on saying that, what was wrong with her? Was she just going crazy? You hadn't seemed to react to her statement at all, so maybe this was all in her head, but it felt so real every time it left her lips.
'Remain here?' Rachel raised an eyebrow. 'You aren't threatening to kick me out?' She looked a little perturbed by even the very notion. 'Just... I don't want to be expelled, I can do better, I swear.'

"We know you CAN do better, Ms. Riley. But it's a question of if you WILL do better."
*Aisling says, feeling the power dynamic shifting even further in the room as Rachel begins to become more submissive and less stuck up and bossy. She doesn't want to push Rachel too far too fast, so she has to make sure she brings Rachel along in a way that ensures compliance along her terms.*
"How do we know that you'll turn things around? And it's still Headmistress Aisling. Please address me as such. I've earned that right, thank you very much."
