So since there's still time in "Mermay" I decided to do a mermaid piece. Originally I was going to try and make a sequel to "Hypnotized Mermaids ", but I decided to go a different direction by making it solely a Layla piece. Enjoy!While this island Layla lives on, the one time has forgotten, is all she has ever known, there are times when she wonders what it would be like to explore the vast sea that surrounds her home. One day a curious seashell washed up on the island's shore, it glittered in a way that Layla hadn't seen before in other seashells. She picked it up, holding it against the light of the sun, it was so pretty that Layla could look away from the shell. She felt compelled to wear it in her hair and walk into the sea, as she did so her body began to change along with her memories. Suddenly Layla's past as the Island's protector and Queen had vanished, and was convinced that she was always a denizen of the sea as she swam below to explore the depths.
