idk if you expected the conversation to end with that..but i was looking at some of your work and its really interesting. do you just create those ideas spontaneously or do you use inspiration from things around you?

in recent years I think some concepts crystallized to some extent in my mind - symbols, metaphors, elements... so there is a central core to my art (even if there are also some isolated works)
things around me, ideas [books from books - literature, science], images, sounds [songs], words [lyrics or simply single words], might be the trigger and combine some of those [graphic] elements together or give birth to the isolated ideas I was talking about
most of the things however come from my head (or appear to have no apparent outside source) - however, I absorb many things around me so it's also very possible that from time to time they resurface...

i see..so then when you begin one of your works, is it because you already have an idea and you want to get it on paper, or because you're bored, so then you sit and think of an idea?

sometimes I do start with an idea, but other times it's just an image in my head (even if that image already has some ideas embedded in it)
rarely I just sit and draw something random - like a few lines or start with something and go along improvising
