I think this is what Team Plasma more had in mind. stat-wise, it doesn't really have many weaknesses, except its HP. Maybe buff more Sp. Atk more than it's tankiness.

I think this one will requiere "Genesect Upgrade Kit" instead of general-named Gensectite (although Genesectite itself may be included into the "Genesect Upgrade Kit" for what little organic remains in this cyborg).

I have an idea for the back story of mega genesect: Team Plasma found a mega stone that was drained out of its power. Theynes took It to their base and added genesects dna sample. They mega evolved genesect but it looked quite the same so they added a special visor to its eyes so it could attack its opponents with a special strong move called Signal Storm. They added 4 cyan steel circles above its visor to help with the move. They noticed that the gun on its back had fallen off so they re -made it for its mega evolution form since its body changed. they added the team plasma stamp and a bigger gun fit for its change form. they de-evolved the genesect into its normal form and triedΒ again. the genesect kept its changes when It mega evolved. Some kids stopped Team Plasma and the stone was lost forever. Until Now.....
