Well I've been pretty disappointed by Red Hood and the Outlaws so far, Lian's gone, Jason's actually happy, Roy is sleazy and dresses like a douchebag, deaths aren't given any weight and oh god poor Starfire.So instead of moaning about it on forums I thought I'd make my own version
It probably won't get further than two pages because I have the worlds shortest attention span but hey, people might like it and it's good practice for other stuff.The quality is a bit off because I'm not used to using ink washes and everything is pretty smudgy but it should get better soon if I keep practicing

I like it too, it has a lot of potential and the art is great but it has a lot of bad points too. I'm still buying it I'm just very conflicted I guess

Well, from what I gather is, that maybe all the characters that people miss will show up later in the series, and I think starfire's bluffing the whole memory loss.

I don't know, the flash back issue on the island implies that it is sort of a problem for her but I liked the way they handled it.
Less of a 'she doesn't care about anything and will sleep with you anyway' and more exotic 'aliens perceive the world differently to humans. She still knows who Dick is so don't panic' Still it's definitely not as extreme as people thought and she might be playing it up out of kindness to Jason.

I'm not so sure, I might just be overly hopeful or looking into this too deeply but I hope that she remembers everyone and is choosing to not show all her cards for some secret reason and, yeah, out of pity for the red hood.
Nah, no one in my family reads comics and none of my friends do either so this i amy place to gush and conspire.

yeah they pretty much don't know how to portray any of the characters, the only thing i like is the fact that
jason was trying to redeem himself....
your version is a lot better, this is what everyone should call Red Hood and the Outlaws

Anyways I really like this page. Jason looks all cool smoking his cigarette. Is that orange light in the last panel Starfire? Whatever it is, it looks really pretty.

Nice work. Like how the smoke more or less forms the border. Jason seems pretty beat up, did he at least win? I also notice you didn't include the red 'Bat-Crest' he has now a days, which is an major plus.
Anyway love your work and I'm looking forward to seeing your version of 'Outlaws'

1. I can't draw straight lines very well even with a ruler so I cheat and draw squiggles instead. Shh, don't tell anyone. They all think i'm being creative
2. He won but feels it was a pretty hollow victory. He wasn't at his best hense the brusing
3. Yeah I don't get the bat-crest thing. He's still at odds with Batman but is wearing his sign and still hates Dick but is wearing his clothes? Again? I thought it would be best if I just left it out.

you're not the only one disappointed wit Outlaws. It's clear the writer wanted to make a comic about original characters, not dc ones. You know when Roy goes to Killer Croc for life advice something has gone horribly wrong.
