I went for something diferent on this one... As a matter of fact when I started colouring it I didn´t know where I was going to end.
Eventually someone sugested that I shouldn´t use a black lines to define shapes and characters ( I do it when I finish painting)... Well, that I did and this came out...
And I finally depicted my favourite race from the Warhammer 40K realm, The Tau.
I still feel strange about this one.

Great picture! I especially like the look on face of the blond helmet-less storm trooper throwing a grenade. He looks very, very determined to blow up some aliens. Both the Tau and the Imperial guard in the picture looks brilliant! The battle suit looks puzzled and shocked as if he is thinking, "Where in the name of Tau, did those guys came from?" Here is hoping that Games workshop someday hire you.

The only thing that confuses me is how the Tau would go up against Kasrkins. Cadia is on the other side of the galaxy. Oh well, I'll chalk it up to Administratum clerical error.

This is fantastic. This has an even more 'retro' feel to it than your other 40k art, and it works really well. This feels like something I'd expect to see in the old Rogue Trader book. Keep up the excellent work.

If the Tau are that close, why waste time and LazGun charge, and not just punch them?

IG are always portrayed wearing dirty and beat armor, it's kind of refreshing to see them wear polished and shiny armor, especially when they're against the supposedly more advanced tau(who are almost always have shiny armor.).

I REALLY like this! The new way you colored things and left out the outlines makes all the shapes look far more sleek and stylized. It's almost like looking at one of Ralph Mcquarrie's paintings. The bits of "grit" throughout the picture, like on the fire, guns, and weapons fire , is also a nice touch.
If there was anything I'd even consider working on, it might be the weapons fire. The glow on the plasma guns look perfect, but the beams seem really similar. It may very well be just me, but I think if the shape for the plasma blasts were a bit more stout at the muzzle and shorter, you could really drive home that they are more powerful and different weapons. Especially for anyone not familiar with Warhammer.
But that is just me. Either way the whole thing is still awesome.

this is great! it really feels reminiscent of a certain illustration out of the 40k Rulebook (not sure if its still in most recent printings, should be) where a grim-looking space marine fires his bolter to the right, off-screen and the perspective is such that the gun's face is completely perpendicular to the perspective, causing it to look oddly flat. I loved that style, and this has that same awesomesauce. nice job.

Yes. I´m really getting the feel of Warhammer 40k. I wanted to draw Taus so I suggested to Curon to add them to the image and said yes so...I did it! Kill them Kasrkin!!!
