Epilogue: "Huh... Well, no use letting this go to waste!" *NOM*Spongebob is one of the few people innocent enough to be forgiven for making Fluttershy cry...
My first comic. What do you think?
Also, I know Spongebob should normally have a bowl on his head, but think of it as in the episode "Pressure" when Spongebob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, and Squidward all go on land and do fine (until the seagulls come).

Maybe. But there are lots of people who love animals just as much as Fluttershy, and they eat meat. They'd just prefer to not see any animals in pain (like me) and maybe not think about it.

Yeah... true. I'll eat chicken, mostly because its a really good meat source where I live and nutrients, but I don't eat really beefy, big burgers. It just kills me. And if Fluttershy were human, I guess that she would really have to eat animals, but she wouldn't eat meat from a place that tortures animals. Yeah...

I can see why you made a the joke, but I can't help feeling sorry for Sponge-bob. At the last panel he looks so guilty for making her cry, and confused for not knowing what he did wrong. He just wanted to share something(his special talent if you will) he held dear to. Then flutter shy, like a big baby she sometimes is, acted like he just shot Angel in the face.
I'm not against vegetarianism and personally think it's a healthier eating lifestyle than eating steak and potatoes all the time, but any reasonable person would politely decline the burger and explain why, but then that wouldn't be funny I guess.
When I think about it, wouldn't flutter-shy be more petrified than despaired at the thought of Sponge-bob being some sort of carnivore?

Thanks for taking the time to write this! In my mind Fluttershy's response isn't at all directed at Spongebob; rather, she's thinking about the poor animal that is now dead in her hands. She's much too busy feeling sorry for it to really think about Spongebob.
Also, I agree with the polite response most vegetarians would give, but as far as I know Fluttershy (and anybody else in MLP) would not have had any experience with the consumption of meat by civilized beings. Thus, their reactions are bound to be very different.

Gryphons? - their diet is never mentioned, but fannon has made the (I think reasonable) assumption that they are carnivores.
Also dragons seem to be pretty omnivorous. Spike did eat (and enjoy) baked bads, which contained worms. Which also brings up that AJ didn't find worms an odd food ingredient (granted, she was sleep-deprived, but still).
