the perfect shot would have only the lady holding her and the child but there wasnt much to do about that...I believe.
I like the confusion of arms and the girls leaning head..her feet on the wires...their poses are wonderful.

Lately it seems that the gestures of the person you capture are like wind just flowing better more naturally and softly, the low key contrast might be responsible but yes this new style is somewhat closer to them.

i was just watching them, all beautiful and blonde with the sun shining in their hair.
i was quite captivated! so just by watching and being ready with my cam
i was able to capture such moments as this.

would take 8 hours or so to d/l.
i tried once already but it stopped and zakk
said it was because it was 'corrupted'?
he said that was not a big deal and that
trying again would likely be successful but..
i'm going to pass. it's just so huge and would
likely take days or more like weeks to go through.
(co's i'd want to play with the ones that grabbed me, y'know?)
any way to get the jpegs instead?

hmm, did you select the 'download folder' option? if that's the case the program zips all the files and lets you download it, in which case the file becomes too huge to download, and especially slow given that the file is not on a server but my own computer
you should download files one by one by clicking on them. each raw file has nearly the same size as an mp3 file, so they aren't that huge
but this was to make sure that the system worked anyway. i'll extract jpegs from the raw files, so that you can see the previews of the files first. and if you like you can either download the jpeg or the raw file itself

damn, i changed my place. i was in school and the image was too dark on my crt monitor there
and now it's much brighter on my lcd monitor at home
hmm, i hate the way monitor settings affect the way we perceive photos. we should have one and only one standard
sorry for the silly comment dear. anyways, this way i realized that at least one of my monitors has a very bad setting

one thing that i noticed recently too - i was looking at some photos of alois on lj
and they seemed so dark to me, i couldn't fathom why he wanted them that way
and i mentioned it to him. he asked if i was viewing them against a white background, which i was.
he advised i switch to dark grey or black - i did - and all the glorious detail came spilling out!
so that too has such a profound effect on how we see something - the background against which we see it!
