I think the reason why it comes out looking just a tad creepy is the eyes. I would suggest not making the pupils quite so small, Tails and all sonic characters have both large eyes and correspondingly large eye pupils/irises. Making the Pupils this small gives him sort of a terrified look, and with the smile it gives sort of a creepy feel to it. Overall this is a fantastic drawing though, nice brushstrokes and glassiness effect over the eyes.

If there would be made Sonic Haunted House escape puzzle game horror this should be added for investigating picture....very artistic and its cute don't get me wrong just its eyes if it wouldn't be so like...surprised?

The only thing i could add to this:
unless you were going for a comedic 'death-stare'
then it looks fine!
but if you were going for adorable
much larger eyes would be in order ^^
