I did this for a facebook competition on the Silent Hill facebook page. Basically they were asking for people to submit art to change their profile picture. Since I had the concept for this a while ago I thought I might as well try to finish it before the contest was over. Of course it's way to specific too Silent Hill 2 to have been a good choice for the profile pic but hey it did get into top 6 finalists...anyway it's a little rushed due to that but as far as mood goes I'm happy with how it turned out.Related content

Thank you very much! I actually used a texture from an old water heater that has rusted over and started cracking, I then digitally painted over that to add highlights and more cracks. Thanks again

This work is phenominal! The background is rustic, classic silent hill, with the flaking of the rust, it kindof gives off the impression (to me) that James is descending into hell. In his arms is his love, his obsession and reason for being, and behind him, his grim reminder. His eternal punishment for his crimes. Extremely well done!
