This image gave me nightmares. I spend so many hours on this and I was never fully happy. It started with an idea of what if two ladies will have a duel in misty morning. I did not find suitable model stock so I took two photos of myself in different outfits. The other one was black corset, fancy white blouse and long black boots and looked very "fighter". So that was my initial scene. I spend whole day working on the background and got headache while trying to get the reflection on the water right (and then, accidentally hid it totally in mist few hours later Ups). Those who follow me in other social medias, probably saw different WIPs from different stages this image went trough.

So after countless hours and even more layers, I thought I am done. I went to bed (as it was late and I did not felt like I want to go trough finding links to all the stock used). In the morning, when I opened the work again, I just did not like it at all. So I gave it a rest for few days and came back. I removed the other fighter so duel became sword practice. I moved the lady around a little bit and I think I found a better composition. I reworked the sunrise, added more color, more vibrance. I am not sure it is as good as the original vision that I had in my head but there are new ideas bubbling so this one has to be completed or discarded. I decided to still upload it.

So yes, the dress I am wearing, is all done by myself. I love making costumes and currently while staying at home, I so miss sewing. I was just about to start new project but I never managed to get to the fabric shop so I do not have material. I do not dare to order it online as fabric is something I think you should touch and see and feel.
