keep it up, cant wait to see the finished product.

My view: i thought this barbarian would look cool with very low contrast in the armor and leathers, and keep the skin the same. Then, rather than reveal the face, leave the face dark and have two glowing eyes gazing out. A suprisingly dark and evil character in a setting so bright. This is not a suggestion, just a demonic twist i first invisioned when i saw version 3.0.

arrows in the snow will be bad ass.

looks good, Freddie. The pose is great, but there needs to be a punch in it's colors to pull out some planes in the muscles. A higher contrast would most likely do. If you indicate a stronger directional light then it'll also help establish the figure standing on the snow a little better. also by the body casting a shadow, and the trees casting a shadow it'll give the audience the belief of the depth coming in from all directions. other than that I dig the conan rendition.
