In snow
We have a SEVERE lacking in snow right now... We have about 2 inches of snow. This time last year, we had over 35 inches. What the heck Alaska, why you gonna be cold but not give us snow? But this is where my painting ended up going, because I can't stop thinking about snow....
About the horse though, I was playing around with some new techniques. I didn't draw any line art, just started blocking in colors, which has always proved quite hard for me, but I'm fairly pleased with it
I'm trying to get my shading to look less intense too, I haven't liked how the past few things I've done have turned out 
But this I'm pretty okay with 
I had tons of fun with his appy coat, I haven't drawn one in ages...Okay, and question for you guys; Smudging, yaye or nay?
Also, I'd love to start up some trades or point commissions or stuff like that if anyone was interested. Lemme know what you guys thing
So here's to my first deviation in months! Lets pray it's not so long before I upload something else

So, I totally really love how the yellow/orange hues against this over all cool colored picture. I think it really brings it to life as well as the atmosphere. I also really like all of that flying snow! I'm not sure if you did that individually or with the help of a brush, but I still think it's really cool looking and brings to the picture. As always, I'm in love with the depth that you can bring with the shading and layering with the mane and tail. Btws, this appalossa is a bamf, is this a new character or just the run of the mill pretty subject?

Thanks! OMG. You should see outside right now... We've gotten over 2 and a half feet of snow, in APRIL, over the past 3 days. It. Is. Insanity. So snow is definitely on my mind right now, lulz. You know... It's actually a freckle brush by someone... I'll have to find it. It's a brush pack someone on here made and I LOVE IT. I use em' all the time.
