Description
This is my third design of my series "Redesigning gen 5"And this time I decided to do Opaline.
Not gonna lie, I hated her design with burning passion when I first saw it. It was just so ugly and it still looks so off in the newest episodes. As always I tried to stick with the original color palette as much as possible. The most noticeable change is defiantly her hair. I do not understand why the character designers decided to go with that bright pastel turquoise color, it sticks so much out in her design. So I changed the color to pastel purple/lavender type of a color and made the braids go behind her head instead them being rolled around her ears. I made the medal things on her feet darker color and made her hooves purple to match the color on her horn. I kept the blue eye-shadow and made it more "fierce", I guess.
In my design, her wings would have two forms. One being a neutral form when she's not using her magic and the second where her wings change into multiply colors when she's using her fire magic.
Overall, I think I did pretty well. Sure, it's not perfect but I would rather prefer this than the original.
