No, this was loosely based on the same part from "Lions of the Outlands". I drew the keyframes from scratch and then drew the in-betweens.

One problem I have with animation is that I have no idea how many frames I have to use.
How many does this have?

Iirc this had 43 frames with the frame rate 8fps, but this is based on the animation from TLG (it had 42 frames, so only one frame difference). As for original animations, I often use the technique that makes the number of frames semi-adjustable, but it only works if the speed of the movement stays the same and there is no smear.
There are good tips about that in the book Animator's Survival Kit, I remember there being more than one way described to figure out the number of frames for the motion.
