Twilight Princess has the most detailed characters ever! Midna's hat had more details in it than I really wanted to draw. Well it was definitely challenging in that aspect.
And forgive me Dream, but as far as I've seen in the game so far - Midna has an annoying personality. Always on Link's head like she owns him.
Well in wolf form anyway. I'm sure it's out of love though.

Oh, my god. My heart is racing. lol I almost screamed when I saw this in my devwatch box. THIS IS SO FREAKIN' AWESOME!
Midna is her usual annoying self, and Link is doing his traditional, "I'll tolerate you for now."

On a side note- I think you're not supposed to like Midna until later. Trust me, she reverts later in the game. She's purposefully portrayed as an irritating, over-controling imp. She even says to a spirit later, "Actually, we weren't just trying to save you..." As in they had other intentions.

I like the lighting effect you added and the shadows they cast are perfectly done. (Shadows are one of those things you don't notice when done right -- it's when they are missing or fall incorrectly that they stick out like sore thumbs.)
Anime characters typically are designed with very low feature details for the sake of quick animation production. That is not true for other genres -- particularly gaming, where systems are getting more and more powerful with better and better graphic details. When you're used to drawing anime characters, switching to something like Zelda is definitely gonna be a pain in the details department!! But you did very well.
Link's neck must be like a tree truck to support the additional weight of Midna!

Oh how right you are! Anime characters are definitely more simple when it comes to details. It used to be that game characters were hardly detailed, except for the cover of the game. Now with all the new powerful technology put into gaming consoles - that's a thing of the past. I can only imagine what gaming will be like for the next generation.

Great shading work, IcE! I marvel especially at the design of Midna's helmet! It's the little touches that truly get me, and in this case, I love the light wisp of green sparkles that surround the two of them, it's done very well. Terrific lighting effect as well, the fading really does resemble what we see with the sun.
