After many days and nights spent on Ruby Rose Ace Attorney, a crossover between Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney and RWBY, it's finally here. I wasn't just turning it into a video like Tales of RWBY, I decided to make it a game. The first case, Turnabout Club is now fully playable. You may need to use Firefox or Google Chrome, apparently Internet explorer doesn't work very well with the game.

Ruby Rose Ace Attorney - Turnabout Club
Ruby Rose finds herself taking on the first case of her lawyer career. Little did she know her first client would be one of her closest friends.

Ruby Rose Ace Attorney is a crossover between the Ace Attorney video game series and the RWBY webseries. RWBY characters have been adapted to fit into the world of Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. Some characters may have been modified in the crossover. Players will play as Ruby Rose, a newbie defense attorney and defend her clients.
For those that don't know how to play Ace Attorney games, it's essentially like a visual novel. You keep progressing through dialogue until you reach a point where you must contradict witness testimony using evidence. You will point out something they are lying about. That's pretty much the formula for how you play.

Good story, good dialogue and an overall enjoyable game. There were many moments where I laughed and a few times when I had to cheat but that's probably due to not knowing how to play the game properly, once I got into it it was really good and challenging (at least for me)!

Just finished playing it, and it was really solid! Felt like a real Ace Attorney case! The difficulty over all was pretty standard, not too hard except for the first 'Objection!' you had to do, might just me being dumb but I found it more difficult than the rest. That, and I noticed the game had stopping points. Might be because I had 'instant text typing' applied, but every so often it needed a loading period, lasted I'd say 5-10-15 seconds? Before continuing like normal. Nothing bad, it played fine just broke up the pace, and was just something to note.
Other than that, it was really fun to play! Felt like i was playing the actual ace attorney/rwby crossover. Difficultly was consistent, no major bugs or glitches, and overall really fun! Great job!

I've heard of people having trouble with the first objection a few times, so I'll take a look and see what I did wrong. I probably just didn't write it clear enough, it's probably too vague.
Hmm, not sure about the stopping points though. I never tested with instant text typing actually, and I had pauses inside the dialogue so they might be related. The pace matched better with non instant text so it could be that. It could be a browser issue though, not sure.

I think because it hinted at one thing to use, but not clarifying where, or ended up being a different thing. I finally got it with a hopefully guess and assumption. Everything else was more straight forward and easier to pick up on, if you knew and were following correctly.
Hmm, alright. It was nothing bad, just some extending pauses in areas that didn't need it, or weren't suppose to pause, I guess. It may because of that and my 7-something tabs, who knows. I was using chrome, if that helps at all.

I guess I made it purposely more vague too since Jaune was still having trouble remembering. I think if I added a single extra word to the contradictory statement, it would have been much easier.
I don't think it would have been your browser. My conclusion is that, since I added pauses in a lot of moments, it didn't go well with the instant text system since it still had to wait for the pauses to end before you could proceed. I know some of the breakdowns I added a lot of pauses for dramatic effect.
And thanks again! This was a great excuse to make something dedicated to both RWBY and Ace Attorney. I had always wanted to make an Ace Attorney case before so this was a great opportunity. I'm glad it was a faithful ace attorney case in your eyes!
