CRIVENS!Discworld fanart of the book I'm currently reading Wintersmith. It centers around 13 year old Tiffany Aching the witch in training being wrapped up in a mess where the essence of winter falls in love with her. Luckily (or unluckily at times) for her she's made life long allies in the rough and tumble fairy folk the Nac Mac Feegle... who live to booze and brawl... over and over and over. They don't care that the Wintersmith isn't able to be headbutted... they'll still try it anyway. I think the best way to describe the Feegles is in one of their quotes when faced with a huge monster : "Who d'yer think ye're lookin' at, pal? Crivens, but yer're gunna get sich a kickin'!" and then it is swarmed. And presumably kicked.
This is a result of me needing to be artistic. There hasn't been much time for that lately. Certain aspects are off... but shhh. I dun wanna hear it. Just look at the pretty colors.

I love the smooth almost retro look to the girls face. coloring and detial are superb. plus I can see space ships in the pic when in full view. did you use stamps for the snow?

I never did read the Tiffany books. I heard they were children books. Is that true? Or would adults like them too?
I got my mom addicted to discworld books. She loves Rincewind and Carrot

You know I was holding off on them for the same reason but they're really fantastic. I think I've laughed out loud more at the Tiffany series than any of the others. They're not children's books really they're more young adult. Think a more Harry Potter kind of reading (only far better in my humble opinion). Granny Weatherwax is in them quite a lot and Nanny ogg makes an appearance as well. I really love them.
And who could not love Carrot? XD And Rincewind needs all the love he can get poor guy.

Yeah. I imagine Rincewind will eventually become quite a good hero though. In his last book he gave up and decided to go along with problematic things from the start, stating that if he just ran he'd have to suffer through even more just to be forced into it anyway. Realising his fate as one of The Lady's champions should make him more able to be less sad. and I'll be sure to give him happy-filled bunnyhugs!
And good to know. I'll track down copies of the tiffany books then. Can't go wrong with Weatherwax (though most of her books are made bad by unlikable villians)
