This is Cecil from Final Fantasy IV, after he receives his Paladin armor. I based the armor off of the designs for Final Fantasy: Dissidia.

I've been playing Final Fantasy IV (at last) for the past year and I adore Cecil. He is a truly inspirational character to me. He is a man who has many regrets, but knowing that he can never undo what he has done, becomes a true hero. I was honored to make and wear his costume.

and I were discussing costumes from Dissidia and she knew immediately that she wanted to be the Warrior of Light. I was looking through the female characters and couldn't find any that connected to me. (I hadn't cosplayed a male character in 3 years at that point - time really flies!)

When ~RikusWorld said that I looked like Cecil, I was floored. We worked with every minute of time we had to make our individual costumes in time for Connecticon and we're both excited that we could finish them in time!

The costume isn't quite at 100% completion yet, but it will be improved and reworked for Otakon. ~RikusWorld and I experimented with a completely different armor making method than what we were used to, and the costumes ended up being much more durable than our previous efforts at armor, the Judges from Final Fantasy XII.
