Description
I made this in Blender Cycles and rendered it with 128 samples. It took me 2 days to complete. The ivy generator is awesome! Hope you guys like itRelated content

I like your color choices. I tend to cram every color of the rainbow in my work. Yours has a haunting and mysterious quality that draws me in.

The texture rendering is amazing! The plants along the maze walls look very natural! Great job

Wooow what a crepy maze! I would never want to go there XD
You did a great job at texture rendering! Looks realistic and mystical. Those plants are a nice touch, adding an effect of time. This maze must be abandoned for years. The dark shading giving it extra chill and creepy atmosphere. By looking to it's depth, It seems like this is a maze where no one can go back safely~

Was it the ivy that bumped your render time? XD Useful to know if it did as I will probably be using it to cover a lot of buildings in the not too distant future. That maze looks pretty ominous, like the atmosphere.

Probably, but the render times were actually ok. I could even render on GPU, I didn't think that would work because my GPU always runs out of memory when I want to render particle systems. So the ivy isn't as heavy on the RAM as grass particles.

Either your gpu is better than mine or the ivy is less intensive than the particles Are they polygons? I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, basically just enabled it and that was it. My gpu will render simple scenes (character with sss but otherwise no other details, floor plane, lights) all I have to test with atm) with no problem whatsoever, then I chucked in the character with lots and lots of particle feathers and it crashed and burned XD It only has 4gb of ram though so not holding anything against it ther

The ivy is a curve actually, only the leaves are meshes. My GPU doesn't have a lot more RAM than yours either though

Oh that would work. Unlike particles XD

Yeah, the ivy generator can really get some nice results - I also used it extensively in my latest project.
Very nice lighting and mood here, it really gives the sense of a movie scene in which a labyrinth is coming into sight...also blends very well with the background!

Thanks It didn't even slow down my computer a lot, grass is extremely slow on my computer compared to it
