Yami, drawn for an art trade with . Soooo...do you think Yami *resembles* anyone else?
Maybe a particular... hedgehog? 
I experimented a little with the Sonic Adventure colouring style and I really like how it came out. I also was trying to make a believeable star field/night sky thing going on. It took me a while to figure out how to make light pollution, but I think it looks pretty good.
Sketched in pencil, then inked and painted in Photoshop CS.

Yami Yugi as a parallel to Shadow the Hedgehog? It was a really good idea. If Atem is Shadow, couldn't Bakura be Silver?
Let me comment your art. I have no flaws to point, I like it overall and love the city neons and light pollution. Though, I don't think stars shine that much with all that glitter on the buildings. Anyway, I understand that, although being less realistic, it's more beautiful that way.

Thank you for the in-depth comment. I suppose Bakura could be Silver. Silver didn't exist when I drew this (6 years ago).
The light pollution probably would blot out all the starlight. Looking at it now, there's some problematic anatomy, but I'd like to think I've gotten a little better since 2004.

I ordered SA2 Battle and started playing it. I should say that it's a cool game with interesting characters. Silver didn't exist at that time, but Rouge did. She's my favourite character, and I like her "job" on the game: to look for emerald parts and keys. It's like she's a Sonic version of Lara Croft. Strong girls are my favourite kind of characters, and somehow I see her like Mai in Yugioh. Not only for her personality, but also because her colour is purple.
Maybe I'll try to start drawing Rouge.
By the way, if you know Yugioh, do you agree that Mai is a character with a lot of wasted potential? She is strong and unfortunately is used just in sad situations where she's the victim.

I think he looks more like a skateboarder than Sonic. He can pull off any look, so it doesn't matter what he wears, he still looks hot.

I like this. The coloring is great and yes the sky and city lights are believable...The stars are awesome though, a bit more believable than the lights...Overall I say you did a great job on the background as well as the rest of the pic...
