In honour of the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC that went on sale yesterday: The face of my Shepard in N7 armour getting ready to take Earth back and save the galaxy from the Reapers.I didn't like the default face.

Ack! Replaying ME3 for the extended cut brings back all the emotions.

Because war is sad. War is never happy. There are moments of joy, and relief, but overall, war is devastating for all involved.
I'm no hippie or anything, I served in the military. I didn't see combat, but my husband has. He's home now for good and I'm grateful for that. In war, we can only fight in hopes of bringing those we love and care about home because war will try its damnedest to make we don't.

That's true.
I know a lot of people ragged on ME3, but I really thought BioWare did a good job ending the series (at least, so far; I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up continuing the series with a new protagonist) and handling the whole war of the created against the creators thing.

Bioware did do a great job I think. The whole game was an emotional roller coaster. I cheered, cried, laughed... No game has ever done that to me. None and I've been gaming since I knew what thumbs were for. This series will always be near and dear to my heart... And my wrists....since thats where my paragon wing and renegade star tattoos are lol.
