I'm having trouble getting that leaf looking stroke... What am I doing wrong?

Just think short and choppy. If you use too long of strokes, it won't look right. Do short and choppy strokes, so that it looks more like the right affect.

But mine doesn't taper off at the end of my stroke, no matter how long or short the stroke, do i need the pressure turned on for my tablet to do this? If so, then how do i turn it on?

It's probably a pressure problem, yeah. I might be able to help you with that, but it depends on what kind of tablet you have; so which one do you have?
