Should I use the same technique for trees?  Also, I can't find a vine brush in my Photoshop.

I wouldn't recommend this for trees, they have a certain volume that would best be replicated through using cylinders to establish a solid form. I would recommend taking photos of trees and then drawing the cylinders over it.

The vine brush is a default photoshop brush, it looks like a rounded leaf. Below is a link to where you'd be able to find it in photoshop elements. However if you use a different version the same look can be achieved through patience and an airbrush tool.

I have Photoshop, not PS elements. Also I meant tree tops, i.e. leaves.

Then use an airbrush or download a free brush pack.

Thank you for your clarification, for tree tops it depends on the types, for deciduous trees, yes, you can use this tutorial but keep in mind the species of tree and how their branches shape the overall shape of the canopy and the distance of the viewer from the tree. For conifers i.e. firs, you might not want to use such a busy technique and focus more on clumps. Same goes for deciduous trees from far away.
