Drawing of The Comedian from Watchmen, which I'm currently reading. I'm planning to ink this and then color it kind of like the inking and coloring of the comic, but as I'm not all too good with pens and inking we'll see how it goes. I'll always have this scan, though, if I mess it up
I upped the contrast so you can see it more clearly: the original is a lot lighter than this. Also, C&C is awesome.
EDIT: I just finished inking it, and I'm really pleased with how he turned out so far. I increased the contrast on the inked one too, to make the lines black, but I'll clean it all up in Photoshop before starting the coloring job. I might also tone down the arm hairs as they stand out a tad too much in my opinion, and I'll also add some of that cool leather shading to his clove
I'm planning on making more Watchmen character fan art, perhaps Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan next. Who knows, maybe I'll just draw them all

I love the pespective, and aside from the fact that i assume thats how they are in the comic, the skinny legs look cool
The lineart is so damn perfect - how the hell did you manage that

The legs aren't like that at all in the comic, the comic is drawn with pretty much naturalistic anatomy, but as I said to the previous guy I made them that way to emphazise his muscled torso. It's all about contrast, you know? Or something like that.
As for the lines, I guess you just need a steady hand and lots of patience. I know I've got'em

I guess that if they were just more naturalistic, the overall result wouldn't really have a character, but adding a touch of height and an angle makes all the difference
And as for the lines..I don't do steady - I'm like a chipmunk after munchin on a bucket of coffee beans trying to handle one of those oversized novelty pens on a bus.
Which is travelling down a cliff.

Sure they should be thicker? I kinda made them slim to overproportionize his torso, making him look all strong-like. Had his legs been much thicker he'd look somewhat like a drawf, me thinks. Thoughts?
