Just then, Xalia spotted her salvation; halfway up the wall ahead of her was an open service duct; with no hatch, it couldn’t be closed down, and Heebie couldn’t follow her up there. As she approached the duct, Xalia used all the athleticism in her young body to grab the edge and leap up into the narrow space. Sadly for her, as she struggled to get purchase, her ample rump was left dangling outside for a moment, and that was all that Heebie needed to ram her with the spikes again. With one last yelp and the smell of burning rubber, the princess jammed herself into the duct...To be continued...
