Description
WAIT GUYS HOW DO YOU ADD THAT NICE CUSTOM THUMBNAIL PIC??Whew finally finished.
Well this is the tutorial that I said I'll do all the way back in January. It covers basically how I color the face and hair.
Well I put a lot of work and thought into this, and hopefully those who asked will find it useful. If you are a beginner, you might want to read this as well:[link]
It's the tutorial that I first learned how to CG from
For those of you read it, I'm curious as to what you think so please leave a comment if its not too much trouble.
I feel that I haven't explained some of the steps very clearly so if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them here.

Always happy to see the techniques of another Color, tablet details, and the various styles of CGing, subjects I don't nomrally see covered in 1 tutorial ^_^ It's got a little something for everyone, and gets to the theroy and nitty-gritty of a nice selectio of subjects
You know, that, or you just wanted a good reason to CG a face with any "why is the body blurry?" comments Just Kidding
Nice work, I wonder if you'll get loads of "I did this with the help of your tutorial!" messages?

Yea I tried to do something more detailed and a little different. Hopefully it's useful.
Uh...well... its not a tutorial on the body is it?
I haven't gotten any messages like that yet.

Ver nice tut, of course you need to have skills aswell, but I guess that that mostly boils down to praticing. There was one part which i found a bit confusing. The part where you "invert" the picture to see if it's shifted or unbalanced. I get the purpose, that's very clear. But what do you mean by inverting; cutting it through the center and mirroring it or...?
next to that I'd like to add that I really enjoy your work, you might not reconise me because I don't comment a lot but I've been watching for a long time and I don't like to add useless comments, but damn you pwn!

About the skill, I agree. Even if you know the techniques to cg coloring, it won't help much if you don't have a solid grasp on drawing and light&dark shading techniques. And if you do you learn quickly. Thats why I tried to cover, where it should be light and dark, and giving basic color patterns and theory instead of giving a solid step by step kinda tutorial. Whether beginners should really start learning the procedures or the concepts behind them first, I don't really know. I guess I'll have to see....
But thanks alot!

oops I guess I didn't word it very well. I was thinking of something else. I meant flipping it over/mirroring.
Thanks alot .

Very good tutorial, thank you for making it ^__^ To show you how much I loved it I'm going to tell you how to make the thumbnail thingie It's actually a preview image. When you're uploading your deviation you have two boxes, one for the file's location and another one for a preview image; it says that if the file you're uploading is a .gif and over 100x100 that you should add one, well..you can really add a preview image to any file you want, so that's how it's done :3 I hope it helps you ^3^

This is great, just that I still have no idea how do people draw CG art. It's not your fault though. Guess I am just not talented enough.

Because I'm always struggling with colour, I can't tell you how much I appreciate when talented artists post colour CG tutorials, and in this one you really went the extra 9 yards to explain the process. I appreciate the so, so very much! Thank you!

To add in the nice icon of other deviant artists (did know one answer this yet? I scanned the first page and I didn't see it...) you do this
:icon deviantname: (but take out the spaces)
So for you it would look like this
:icon idnar: (but take out the spaces)
Or this
=3 I hope no one told you this otherwise I wouold just be repeating. Btw, great tutorial, basically simple and all... haha, I didn't even know PS 8 came out already. xD
