Suicide...War, Hate, Death, Depression.
Fives words to describe the world,
Leaving out so many more.
I can write this about happiness,
How there is hope and joy,
That it is going to be all okay and good,
But when you look right to it, it isn't like that...
The world...
Let me sun it up for you:
We have the youngest of our people cutting,
Taking their owns lives and losing their innocence,
To put it sincerely.
We have children killing themselves,
Just because of a past love,
Or taunting at school...
They are torturing each other day after day...
We have stars today that shine dim
And rotate around money and power...
Where did all the compassion go?
The love, the happiness?
Do we even care that people take their lives every day,
Only to escape this living Hell?
I don't blame them...
And I am stuck here,
In the middle...
Trying to help,
Succeeding little...

Not my favorite of yours, I understand it's more of a relief from stress, but it's also kind of hum-drum. Doesn't say much that I don't already know about, nor does it bring you to any new states of thought or use anything interesting to capture the reader. Fairly common teenage angst at work here, which there is nothing wrong with, but it's not the best showcasing of your talent. I do, however, find interest in your thoughts on cutting, and I've never really thought about children killing themselves, which is a very real horror of this world.

To see the big picture,
They who have learned to find the light within,
Who have seeked and found help,
Who have overcome their obstacles,
None of this is new,
Kids have been through taunting, broken hearts, and such,
BUT, they got over it & overcame!
They counted their blessings & sought the light,
They know TRUTH....IT WILL GET BETTER!
We have stars today that shine dim
And rotate around money and power...
But who gives a damn about them? They're just celebrities!
Live your life! No one's forcing you to emulate them!
Where did all the compassion go?
The love, the happiness?
...just in hiding. Remember, you are the change
you wish to see in this world....
It's up to YOU, you show compassion, you show kindness,
YOU SHOW LOVE!
Everything you do causes a chain reaction,
like ripples in a pond....
Do we even care that people take their lives every day,
Only to escape WHAT THEY PRECIEVE as a living Hell?
I don't blame them...if they feel that way.

I am 37 years old. I was bullied RELENTLESSLY & MERCELESSLY throughout my youth.....I could be sitting here with your mindset, but I don't.
BECAUSE of my inner hell, I sought joy, happiness, light & peace! How can gloomy & pessimistic stuff make people happy? One needs balance.
So, chin up....IT WILL GET BETTER! You may not be able to change the whole world BUT YOU CAN AT LEAST CHANGE YOUR IMMEDIATE WORLD!

Such a truth it is, it really is sad at times..
But your right, we all have to face it. I do write about happy things, but at times.. it doesn't give me as much inspiration as other things do.
I want to spread those other feelings so others know about them and don't think that we "emo freaks" are just a bunch of cutters with no lives.

One can gripe about how crummy things are OR they can DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
I look at it this way...would you rather live in our modern era, with it's higher standards of living, technology, concept of "Human Rights", longer lifespans, advanced science & medicine along with advanced knowledge or would you rather live in the Medieval Period, or even just 200 years ago?
Nothing is new under the sun. There have been school shootings for decades, centuries even. In the US, it didn't start with Paduka, Columbine, VA Tech...it started with Greencastle, PA in 1764!
Teens always been getting pregnant by accident, employees have always "gone postal", and bunch of other stuff has gone on for years! It's not a new development, so the think the world's worse is silly.
The world's both "Peaches" AND the "Pits". The Earth is merely a school for souls, it's MEANT to be a challenging test (perhaps you might not believe in the spiritual stuff but then again, I don't know you, either way it's okay) That's the way the Material Plane is, finite imperfect & corruptible, subject to evil & decay (unlike the Astral/Spiritual).

It always does, and I know for a fact it has started to get better for me, that things have started to clear up, unlike the weather, but they have been getting much better in fact. I've managed to be able to make friends actually, laugh and have a good times, lots of things have gone downhill even a little bit, but that's how life works.

Definitely. I like guys who have some soul, and that's the main reason I've never had a boyfriend, and may not for a long time (other than because of my dad), because they're just plain jerks. They're all most the same.
I'd hope I could have a guy friend (even one that's gay) that has some kind of heart and soul, maybe likes to do art or write like me. I dunno.
