Description
An exploitable pixel base. 23x48 px in size, fits within DA avatar box.Free for anyone who wants to use it. I'm just enjoying the pixel practice.

how do you use it? And how do you customize it?

It's very easy. Just import it into your preferred drawing program (I use photoshop), make a new layer over the base (or don't, though it makes things easier), and start drawing. When you're done, go back to the base and erase the while background and black frame, save it as a .gif or .png (to preserve transparency) and that's it. This particular base doesn't have an animation with it, so it you wanted a blinking animation or something similar you'd have to make it yourself.
I've got a (old, probably outdated) tutorial on pixeling here and there are a lot more elsewhere on the site.

Don't be sad! It's possible to do in MS paint or some other really simple drawing program. It wouldn't be as easy, but it's definitely possible.
