Kagome had calmed down a bit. Now she was sitting on the bench in front of Kaede's hut, crying quietly, Miroku beside her.
"Feeling any better, Kagome-sama?" the man asked, calm.
"This is my fault..." she sobbed. "All my fault!!!"
"What do you mean? The demon was just too much for Inuyasha to handle. Besides..."
"Hm? What do you mean 'besides'?"
"Do you remember how he hurried you to pack your things the morning we left? Maybe, if you had some time to pack at peace and remember to take the first-aid kit..."
"A-are you trying to tell me this is INUYASHA'S FAULT?!?" Kagome shouted, with tears in her eyes.
"N-no, I didn't mean it that way..." the man stammered. As Kagome burried her face in her hands, Miroku sighed and pet her back.
