Description Wonder of wonders, the library has a scanner. Not a very GOOD scanner, mind, but a scanner nontheless. I swear it's (slightly) more impressive in person. I'm probably going to take a picture of it with my nice camera and see if that works better, but since my camera is in another state... hoo boy. I'm in a technological pickle.

Title references the tangled relationships of the depicted parties. This pic was inspired by a contest running in , a Hiei fanclub. The prompt was "fight", more or less, and one of the suggestions was Hiei protecting Yukina from Kuwabara... but I went more serious than humorous.

This pic can be taken in one of two ways:

1. This is the simple explanation. Kuwabara and Hiei are at it. Again. Yukina looks on sadly, wishing her brother and lover would just get along for once.

2. This is the complicated explanation. See the little book in Yukina's arms? Well, Hiei brought it to her. He was all worried, ya see, because Koorime women die in childbirth when they have children with men (manga-canon), and Yukina was getting really heavy in with Kuwabara and nothing he said could convince her to leave Kuwa-kun, so... yeah. He brought Yukina a book on the subject (possibly on the eve of her wedding to Kuwabara) to get her to not go through with being with Kuwabara, because he doesn't want his sister to die. Hiei's meddling, of course, angers Kuwabara, and a fight breaks out (though it should be noted that Kuwabara is more sad than he is angry, but he doesn't know how to properly vent his frustrations). Yukina sits in the background fretting and trying to make a decision on her life with poor Kuwabra-kun.

Of course, she'll choose to be with Kuwabara anyway because "love is stronger than the fear of death... and of over-protective twin brothers."

... I might be writing a fanfic. Who knows.

(Also, a blog post about my recent disappearance is forthcoming. Promise.)

I think both descriptions work very well in describing the situation that your picture shows. =]

Poor Yukia-chan and Kuwa-kun, things just never seem to work out for them. :'/

That's so neat! Personally, I like both possible explanations of what's going on. I feel so sorry for Yukina and Kuwabara because she's troubled by the situation's possible outcome; and at the same time, she won't tell Kuwabara so he doesn't know how to approach her correctly regarding the situation.

Anyway, I love their poses and their expressions are really, well... expressive. They leave you wondering about what's going on internally with the characters. Also, the colors are great! I especially love the ones you used to color Yukina. Her hair is probably my favorite.

Kuwabara interests me the most in this scenario, to be honest. He's angry at Hiei for meddling and taking Yukina from him, but at the same time he's probably grateful that he won't kill her, only he WANTS her and she's leaving him so that makes him incredibly sad, and the fact that he wants her so much is bad because it means he'll kill her, and that might make him hate himself more than a little... hoo boy. I think lashing out at Hiei is probably his only logical means of coping!
