hermm.... i guess i just look around at the things around me and find stuff i like and try to think of ways to incorporate it into a photoshoot. Its not a deep and profound thing. I let the idea incubate in my head for a while, and then i lay an egg and it hatches into a photo

well thank you! how do i get my photos in groups though? doesn't someone else have to do that? i don't really know how that works.

In the search box at the top, next to it click on the down arrow (where it says all deviations) on the right and click on 'groups' at the bottom. Search for a group like 'photography lovers'. Join the group and you can submit all your photos and soo many people will view it and fave it !!

why thank you! i try my best to have the best lighting i can.
but honestly, i don't have much experience with studio lighting, and hopefully next semester i'll get to take a studio class. I seriously just use overcast (diffused lighting) daylight. My flash is a canon speed-light and it swivels, which i turn the flash to bounce off a white poster-board. That is used as fill light and makes the subject appear to be less harshly lit. ...sooo, sunlight and a posterboard. you don't need much to make quality anything, its more like...if you know how to use what your given.

i'm trying to read up on [link] to get kind of a run down on using flash and the like. i've been one of those flashophobes for a really long time, and i'm just recently starting to want to get into purchasing something for my slr. the only problem is just saving enough money for one ;< i know it's an investment that will improve the quality of my photos in the long run though, so that helps to save, ha.

i really love your photo/style, they strike me as very bohemian (i'm not sure if this is the correct word i'm going for, but it's the best one i can think of off the top of my head)
