They're all cool and stuff...but why don't they have magazines more accordingly with the type of gun?

Very nice! Now let's see a modernized AK in a bullpup stock with rail system, etc.!

I somewhat find the appeals of the M-16 to be "nice" looking. As looking back to the weapons that designers were coming up with, one thing is true: you can point out the M-16 from any other NATO rifle. Sadly the AR/M-16, FN FAL, G3 and even the AK-47/74 are behind the “times” compared to Steyr AUG, SA80, QBZ-95, and FAMAS. I’m partial to Bullpups as you can see, but just because they look comfortable to me. I like the barrel length, weight, and maneuverability of bullpups.

I also like how you uses tounushi “criticism.”

Can’t fully agree with tounushi comment: “An MG is not supposed to give a quick, accurate burst. It is meant to lay down suppressive fire.”
Do not get me wrong, but SAWs, light, etc type machineguns should not be treated like bullet hoses. Heavy MG on the other hand keeps enemies’ heads down by just the sound of fire.

As I believe in giving “quick, accurate bursts” of suppressive fire at the enemies’ heads to cause them to think twice before losing their “melons.” As I’m doing that my team would move around to the side and get who I could not hit. Tounushi’s suppressive fire works best to cover retreats or catch a enemy in the crossfire of two or more MGs. Truly I would hand Tounushi a MG before I ever use it… I hate machineguns unless it has the prefix: Sub-; on the beginning of it. lol

I would like to see you draw a quick-change suppressor-integrated barrel(with one of your MG platform too) for black/covert-ops. Get in without a sound and leave with a war-cry from the suppressive fire from a unsuppressed general purpose machine gun when/if all goes to hell. Hooyah!

One more thing: I have nothing but love for the AN-94’s Nikonov mechanism and it’s “two round burst.” Much better than “three round burst” in my observations. As for the counter weight system; I have little knowledge of the AEK-971 and its system.

Truly Igor keep up the work.

well they are actually more performing the Bull pups you are right... but i don't agree with the fact that the M-16 look cool... i prefer much more other weapons, just because it's overused... and i'm tired to see it...

i agree with you also on the fact that the LMGs are not only to spread bullets for support fire... expecially guns that are actually modified assault rifles like the RPK or MG-36...

and can you explain better the gun that you would like to see drawn by me ? ^^

the i don't know a lot too of the AEK mechanism... for me it's enought to know that fire faster than a common AK and with less recoil...

and i'm deeply glad that you like so much it !

“…and can you explain better the gun that you would like to see drawn by me ? ^^” -IgorKutuzov

Marjory what I would like to see you do is a LMG modeled after a mix of VSS Vintorez‘s Suppresser system, Sten gun appearance, and the SA80’s Bullpup configuration. Because you mix your weapons will.

Full List

-VSS Vintorez‘s Suppresser system(somewhat like the MP5SD3.) Overall a suppressed barrel that can be quick-changed with a non-suppressed barrel by one person in less than a moment.

-Sten gun appearance because of it’s simplified nature and looks.

-SA80’s Bullpup configuration mostly to place the actions back farther on the weapon to allow it to simplify the barrel change and to allow best CQB abilities without harming range and accuracy.

-Overall use your artistic intuition to interpret these aspects into a one-manned, simple, covert/black-ops, light machinegun that can both support troops and inflict enemy casualties at the best times.

if water (or enought dirt) get inside the Gas tube the M-16 (and M-4) can explode with a high probability to hurt or even kill the operator of the gun...

That is true, them Russians do have alot of cool stuff. It's mainly American stuff that gives me my inspiration. And yes it does look alot like a real Russian Machine gun!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

IgorKutuzov In reply to Rahkshi-Ban [2010-06-14 13:02:31 +0000 UTC]

russians are a bit more "rude" on the aspect but their guns are damn expensive and much more than just sometimes are more realiable and sturdy than American or even Belgian and German weapons...
