Description
This drawing will go for Isha's part of Frenemies prompt for this month!
Next drawing will be Vali's perspective of the same day, so this is a scene that will come in two parts.
After Pyre made the siblings fight, Vali had to leave the pack for good but the poor bastard wasn't able to get too far away from the pack. He never had been- alone, not for real, he didn't know anything about the rest of the world, and anyway, all he cared about was in that territory anyway, why would he just go away? So with time, both grew into their adult age, Isha inside the pack, and Vali wondering around, trying to not get caught. He saw multiple other utahs joining the pack and felt pitty for them... They didn't know how much of a tyrant Pyre could be, and how much Isha was learning from him.
As time passed, all of them kinda got used to Vali just being around, stealing some bones here and there, they didn't care as the pack grew numerous enough to take down larger enough preys so they didn't have to worry about food but as this situation got normal, it also started to seem like Vali was mocking them. It wasn't weird at all to see him getting into fights with other members of the pack while trying to steal some food, he even got to fight his sister a few times ever since the big fight but it wasn't never a real big deal. Vali just used to leave when the situation turned too much of a trouble.
He never got to fight Pyre again, thought. Isha and Leonna tried their best to don't have to see that happening, the girls used to be the ones offering to keep watch while the rest eat, so they could keep an eye over their surrondings and chase Vali off before anything worse could happen. If they had to fight, they would fight but neither of them wanted Vali really dead unless there was no other choice but as the pack grew in numbers, the situation was about to get out of their control. Like there were even children around, how could they be safe wandering and exploring around the territory if they had to always be fearing of that crazy stupid bastard that refused to leave their territory no matter how many warnings they gave him.
What would happen if he decided to hunt down one of their kids? Then they'll have to kill him, no matter how many hard feelings they'll have about it.
Those thoughts never got out of Isha's head, not for a second. Every day she thought of different scenarios of how the day she had to kill Vali would come. Sometimes she would think about Pyre killing him and get mad, sometimes she would think about Vali starving himself to death. In general, she didn't know how to feel about it but every day when they were feeding, she couldn't help it but spend the time scouting the horizont looking for her brother just in case he was stupid enough to come in that very moment. Every piece of grass she saw moving reminded her of him.
So when that one day she saw a piece of grass moving abruptly, she knew it was him and decided to take adventage and go after him. Better if it was her than any other.
She needed to warn him, one last time, she needed to tell him next time she catch him stealing food she'll have to kill him this time for real.
I decided to go with this prompt very unsurely, as I knew Isha thinks about Vali as an enemy but also as a brother and it's a very difficult relationship I haven't yet explored a lot. I feel like the writting part is a little wonky but I hope it's good enough for you to understand the tone I wanted it to give?? It's just basically a bunch of random thoughts about Isha and Vali's relationship after their last aging quest (where Pyre made them fight to see who was worthy to stay in the pack and Vali had to run away and got banished) and how Isha approach mentally and emotionally the fact that Vali seems to not want to leave.

I absolutely adore how you've softened/covered the lines on the further elements of the image, really creates amazing depth of field and sort of artificial eye focus. Your work is always spectacular but I had to do a double take on this one to acknowledge that wonderful subtlety.

Aaaaa thank you so much, really. I actually didn't modified the line at all, the effect is just created with blur effect and light layers! I'm so glad to see it worked that good <3
