Just a little doodle I was suddenly inspired to draw and really liked the end result. I always had a lot of love for this character, she was so straight forward and easily under estimated as an opponent. I always loved how she was a champion level digimon that was the size of a standard rookie, hahaa~Ahh the days.

Finaly a fighting Gatomon. Everyone only draw her to look cute and almost no one remember that she's a tiny badass capaible of taking down giant enemies with ease.

Yes, Tailmon/Gatomon is champion digimon even with her small cute size, however she had only 1 cool fight in anime in first season and in secound season they made her weak like rookie, what a waste.
Because of this many people think of Gatomon as rookie digimon, never draw her fighting and draw only as cute kitty.
It is a bit waste since Gatomon backstory was full of hardship, she should be beating enemys without even digivolving and they so waste it in anime.

Yea I was slightly disgruntled with her abilities in the second season, I felt that the idea that her not having her tail ring made her weaker was a very lacking explanation. Usually when I draw her it's always as a warrior or even mysterious as it took her a long time to really discover who she is and who she wanted to be.

Actually, SMALLER than standard Rookie (Patamon is the only one that's really comparable in size), which makes her pushing around the Champions all the more impressive when you see it.
The appeal is more than just looks and physical ability (underutilized IMO), but her backstory and return to the good side (keep the tissues handy!), as well as giving her a more "rounded" personality than most of the other Digimon partners (particularly the ones in 02). It also doesn't help that she was the original "furry fanservice" Digimon before Renamon took over that spot.

hehe Tailmon was always one of my favorites. well I like cats. and she's a cute one. hehe and with a lot of atitude. well you drew her very well. I like the perspective and the way you did her tail. the tip and the ring are pretty well done. and her paws are cute. hehe both the feet and the 'gloves'. and I love her expression. her smile and eyes are pretty well done. I really like hose blue eyes. awesome job on the colors the shadows are really good. awesome pic sweet! ^^
